Chapter 874 Six-Armed Arhat

Next, Wu Yi stayed with these Taoist disciples, but after what happened before, no one deliberately made things difficult for him. Before he obtained the position of guest official of Liuchen Temple, his identity was just a guest.

This way of singing Taoist songs can show the strength of Taoists to a certain extent, and it is also a good way to resolve conflicts at the banquet. Many low-level disciples believe that the great powers still need to kill each other to decide the winner, which is somewhat narrow-minded.

The higher the cultivation, if it is not a grudge of life and death, in fact, no one will fight to the death, and the way of fighting will become less and less, and more and more, it is actually decided by literary fighting.

The melodious Buddhist bell rang for more than three days before it gradually stopped. At this time, the people who should come should have arrived even if there were some disturbances on the road.

This water and land ceremony officially began, and the host was one of the few people Wu Yi was familiar with in Liuchen Temple-Zhidu Zhongzhu.

The Dharma Assembly is naturally based on preaching. The wise masters sat down and began to preach, involving the Four Noble Truths, the Eightfold Path, and the Twelve Links of Dependent Origination, which are the most basic theoretical knowledge of Buddhism, and basically come from the explanation of primitive Buddhism.

If a Buddhist practitioner does not even know these, his identity as a Buddhist disciple is very questionable. No matter which sect he comes from, it is not justifiable, just like a Taoist disciple saying that he does not even know the Three Pure Ones, which is laughable.

The Three Pure Ones are Taiqing - Taishang Laojun, Shangqing - Yuanshi Tianzun, and Yuqing - Tongtian Jiaozhu. Many of the exercises that have been passed down today have the words Taiqing, Shangqing, and Yuqing in front of them to show their origins.

Even in the Middle Ages, when the Shangqing lineage and the Yuqing lineage had a dispute, the victorious Shangqing lineage suppressed the Yuqing lineage as an evil sect and despised it as an evil cultivator, but still retained many Yuqing methods.

The Three Pure Ones are originally one, and the internal struggle is only due to the differentiation of ideas. They are still the same in essence.

Similarly, the dispute between Mahayana and Hinayana in Buddhism is the same.

Original Buddhism is roughly the period from the establishment of Buddhism by Sakyamuni to the dispute over the interpretation in the Middle Ages. Because of its weak power, Buddhism had no tendency to split at all, and was extremely united inside and outside.

The ideas handed down at that time are also respected by all Buddhist disciples today.

It is undeniable that the wise masters have extremely profound Buddhist attainments. When they preached, they mentioned the origin of human beings and all life, the exploration of the universe, the infinity of time and space, the mutuality of body and function, the purity of mind and the exploration of the mind.

Ordinary disciples may not understand it. Even though Wu Yi is not from Buddhism, he still gained a lot from listening to it.

The sky is falling and the ground is surging with golden lotus. For other people, this scene is difficult to show, but for the wise masters, it is a normal sign. It is nothing surprising that the heaven and earth echo and the mountains and rivers shake.

Even with his cultivation, he only dares to talk about some theories of original Buddhism at this moment.

It seems that I am destined to be the fuse, Wu Yi smiled bitterly in his heart.

The Zhidu Masters had been preaching for more than a day, and just stopped. They interspersed the front and back, and the positive and negative appeared alternately. It was obviously a very profound and obscure theory, but it gave people a feeling of being easy to understand.

Of course, it was just this feeling. Without practicing Buddhism personally, the content of the Zhidu Masters’ sermons was just in one ear and out the other, and it was not very useful.

After that, the other Buddhists came forward and each told their own ideas. They were the understanding and feelings of the great Dao and the world, which could give Wu Yi a refreshing feeling.

Among them, there was also a debate session. Strictly speaking, in terms of viewing, this session was the most exciting, but also the most dangerous. During the debate, it was a collision of the understanding of the great Dao and a confrontation of wills. If one was not careful, the fundamental Dao would be shaken, and death would be more painful than the destruction of the Dao and the body.

Unfortunately, when Wu Yi was appointed as a guest official of the Six Dust Temple, he needed to explain his own views. In this process, it can be expected that someone would come forward and debate with Wu Yi.

If the debate fails, it might turn into a fight.

Time flies, and the next half month is spent in preaching and debate. Wu Yi spent most of his time with his eyes closed, looking ready to be killed, without any intention of escaping.

When the wise masters announced that Wu Yi would serve as a guest official, Wu Yi, who had closed his eyes to rest, opened his eyes, controlled the escape light, and stepped into the center with lotus.

The preaching place is actually an enlarged twelve-grade golden lotus, which can allow cultivators to perform beyond their normal level. Wu Yi has become the first cave cultivator who has the honor to enter the twelve-grade golden lotus. I don’t know how many cultivators look at Wu Yi with envy and jealousy.

Wu Yi stood like a pine tree, speaking in a melodious tone, saying: "The Taoist scriptures say: The ancient true people supported the heaven and earth, grasped the yin and yang, exhaled and exhaled, were independent and guarded their spirits, and their muscles were as one, so they could live as long as the heaven and earth, without an end. This is the way of life.

The perfect people in the Middle Ages were pure and virtuous, and they were in harmony with the yin and yang, adjusted to the four seasons, left the secular world, accumulated energy and spirit, wandered between heaven and earth, and saw and heard beyond the eight directions. This is -"

Wu Yi's words, like reciting a book, gave the worldly faction of the Six Dusts Temple an excuse. At this moment, a Buddha with a wide pavilion and a round face did not step on the lotus platform, but waded directly to the golden lotus, interrupted Wu Yi, and said: "If you can only recite the Taoist scriptures, how can you achieve the position of guest official!"

Wu Yi performed a Taoist salute and asked: "May I ask the master's Dharma name?"

"As a poor monk, I will not change my name or surname in my sitting position. I am the Six-Armed Arhat!" After saying this, four arms have grown out from behind the Six-Armed Arhat. There is no trace of disharmony and the appearance of the Dharma is solemn.

Such a scene is also expected. Wu Yi said: "Master, what else do you need to know to become a guest?"

The Six-Armed Arhat did not directly answer this question, but asked: "Is it possible that your Taoist sect only has these negative and vain statements? Will it only teach people to live alone, be passive and worldly, and live in seclusion?"

The Six-Armed Arhat's stick was so cruel that he offended all the Taoists present, and the atmosphere suddenly became extremely tense.

And Wu Yi was in the center of this whirlpool. If he answered well, the Six-Armed Arhat might directly use force. If he answered badly, Immortal Qingxuan would not let him go.

Wu Yidao: "Of course this is not the case. Taoism has the skills of emperors to govern, strategies to assist the country and manage the world, strategies to strengthen the army to defeat, and the ability to defend the enemy and resist humiliation. Governing the world is also very meritorious."

The Six-Armed Arhat nodded frequently and then asked: "Is there any more?"

His intentions were already obvious, and Wu Yi frowned.
