Chapter 2: If a Man Doesn't Obey, Just Give Him a Beating
Gu Huaizhi has clear brow bones, a thin chin, and a pair of fierce eyes, which look cold and gloomy.
Su Wan swallowed her saliva, always having the illusion that he wanted to strangle her to death.
In fact, Gu Huaizhi has a very good appearance, probably because of his weak and pale appearance, the whole person is gloomy. Especially these eyes are particularly beautiful, if they are not so cold, not so fierce, or even not staring at her with disgust.
"The medicine you took is moldy, it can't cure your disease, and it will be poisonous."
Su Wan thought that she didn't harm him, and she didn't sell him a pair of brothers and sisters, so why should she be afraid of him?
If they really fight, Gu Huaizhi, a sickly guy, may not be able to beat her.
Suddenly realizing that the original owner couldn't speak so kindly, she was afraid of being exposed. Gu Huaizhi noticed that she had changed her mind, and imitated the original owner's tone, sneering: "Although you don't look like a long-lived person, try to live longer. I don't want to be a widow at such a young age."
Su Wan thought of the book, where Gu Huaizhi lived longer than her, and she was suddenly upset.
Gu Huaizhi's forehead veins jumped, and he pursed his thin lips and glanced at the medicine soup on the ground.
"What are you looking at? Didn't I just spill your medicine?" Su Wan followed the original owner's demeanor, glanced at Gu Huaizhi with contempt, and said condescendingly: "At worst, I can buy some good medicine to compensate you."
Gu Huaizhi's lips moved, revealing a hint of sarcasm.
As if he was saying that she was bragging.
Su Wan was provoked with a nameless anger, and reached into his sleeves, ready to take out a handful of silver to throw in Gu Huaizhi's face. The sleeves were shrunken, not to mention a handful of silver, not even a copper coin.
Later she realized that she didn't have a copper coin dowry when she married into the Gu family!
Su Wan was embarrassed and wanted to crawl in through a crack in the ground.
Gu's mother took a broom and dustpan from the kitchen to clean up the broken pieces of bowls, while persuading Gu Huaizhi: "Okay, what's the big deal? Isn't it just spilling a bowl of medicine? Wanwan didn't mean to worry that you would get a stomachache."
Su Wan was stunned. Gu's mother was the best in the book, famous for her fierceness. She was born with a round waist and thick arms, and her old face was covered with deep wrinkles. She looked very difficult to mess with. She was obviously only in her forties, but her hair was gray, like an old lady in her fifties or sixties.
Gu's mother was very protective of her shortcomings. In the book, she treated the original owner very well. She would rather starve her own children than feed the original owner, but the original owner did not appreciate it. She thought that Gu's mother was trying to curry favor with her and climb up the high branch of the Marquis' Mansion.
"Wanwan, don't pay attention to him. If he gives you the cold shoulder, just beat him up. Men can't tolerate bad behavior." Mother Gu gave Su Wan a kind smile.
Su Wan was a little at a loss in front of the kind Mother Gu, feeling guilty and embarrassed.
Gu Huaizhi had a cold face, coughed a few times, stood up, and prepared to go back to the house.
"Mom! Mom! The human traffickers are here! They want to catch me and my sister!"
The second child, Gu Jingyun, ran into the house, his sallow and skinny face full of panic.
The third child, Gu Baozhu, grabbed the corner of Mother Gu's clothes with her hand, and her voice trembled: "Mom, the human traffickers are chasing us, what should we do?"
"What are you afraid of? Mom will protect you!"
Mother Gu hugged the two little kids behind her and was about to go out.
"Su Wan, get out of here quickly. You took my deposit, but the two children haven't been sent to me today! What? You cheated me?" The voice of the trafficker came from the door. He threatened: "If you don't hand over the children today, don't blame me for turning my face against you!"
Everyone in the room stared at Su Wan.
Su Wan was confused. When did she take the deposit?
She suddenly remembered that the original owner had no money, so she took the deposit first, bought arsenic to poison Gu Huaizhi, and agreed to send the two children to the trafficker today.
