I Was Expelled From Hogwarts?

Chapter 49: A Woman's Sigh

Hogwarts Library,

Rolf was wandering in the Restricted Books Section with a bottle of fireflies in his hand.

The Restricted Books Section was located in a spacious square room, with dark wood decorations on the floor and ceiling, and tall bookshelves around the walls, filled with magic books.

Rolf scanned the room under the dim fluorescent light, looking for the book catalogue - a bound encyclopedia that marked all the collections in the Restricted Books Section.

The catalogue could help Rolf quickly understand the types of books in the restricted area, and he was ready to take a look to see if there were any books he needed.

It was not known whether he could catch any silverfish in the Restricted Books Section, but he could not return empty-handed.

However, when he reached the end of the Restricted Books Section, he did not find the Restricted Books Catalogue, but on the last bookshelf, he saw a huge transparent magic cabinet.

Rolf looked inside through the magic cabinet and found a very old leather box, which was obviously used to protect the huge ancient book.

There were words on the outside of the box, but they were difficult to recognize.

Just as Rolf was observing, a magical creature with silver-gray fine scales and nine whiskers at the end of its abdomen poked its head out of a book.

The silverfish sniffed hard, and the book fragrance and the heavy feeling of history filled its nose. It closed its eyes in a somewhat intoxicated manner, then slowly opened its eyes and crawled out of the book.

The silverfish jumped up, like a seal diving into the water, and landed in the cowhide book with a graceful tail-flicking posture. It rolled happily in the text, swallowing the text and magic in big mouthfuls.

The whole body also emitted a bright golden light.

Rolf's eyes were always on his magic book. He flicked the bottle mouth, and the firefly's tail flashed, and then he patted the box.

It's decided to be you, Sniff!

A Sniff jumped out of the box. It jumped high and pounced forward. When it was one meter above the ground, its claws suddenly stretched out, and it landed lightly like a little wild cat.

When the silverfish saw the Sniff coming, it immediately got out of the book, jumped to one side, and penetrated a pile of thick magic books without any hindrance, preparing to escape from the crime scene.

The Sniff tapped its claws and ran out quickly. It climbed on the bookshelf. When it stepped on a magic book, it swayed left and right for a few times. After stabilizing its body, it continued to leap upwards.

Rolf hurriedly reached out and caught the falling magic book. The book opened and let out a shrill, creepy scream.

The boy gave it a big beating, and then knocked it unconscious with a heavy punch, then closed the book and "gently" inserted it back into the bookshelf.

Hermione and Shirley, who received the message, had already arrived with bottles and released the Sniffs given to them by Rolf.

The silverfish shuttled through the library at a speed as fast as a thin but condensed golden thread, and behind it were three persistent Sniffs!

The Sniffs were as agile as monkeys, moving around the bookshelves again and again.

The silverfish was a little tired from being chased, and rushed to the magic cabinet where the ancient books were hidden. When it was about to get in, a Sniff accelerated and caught it in mid-air.

Rolf rushed over, but the Sniff put the silverfish into its belly bag and refused to hand it over.

"I'll take this in exchange." Rolf took out a large piece of shiny brass.

The Sniffs like to judge the price of a thing by the size of the shiny object. It compared the silverfish in its hand with the large grain, and glanced at the palm-sized brass, and immediately agreed.

Rolf caught the silverfish and was about to observe it. A gust of wind blew, and all the books in the restricted area suddenly turned pages, making a rustling sound.

The rows of bookshelves protruded from the wall like ribs, and the sound of the books turning pages gave people a strange feeling, as if the whole library was alive.

Rolf was instantly horrified.

Because a woman's sigh rang in his ears, very low and light, as if the wind was blowing through his body.

"Are you a student of Hogwarts?"

"Who?" Rolf asked loudly.

But the sound was intermittent and soon disappeared.

Hermione and Shirley came over, and Shirley asked, "What's wrong?"

"Did you two hear a woman whispering?"

Shirley and Hermione shook their heads.

Rolf frowned and looked at the dark library, but the sound had completely disappeared, as if it had never appeared.

...

...

In the room,

Malfoy was completely stunned. When Malfoy came to his senses, he immediately pinched his throat and shouted:

"I'm going to kill you, Potter! What did you do, you bastard!!"

Harry lay on the ground and retched, and he shouted, "I'm going to kill you!"

The two hugged each other again and started to pinch.

Ron wanted to play mixed doubles with Harry, but he felt like it was raining in the room, with wet drops falling on him.

He raised his head and let out a shrill scream.

Harry and Malfoy stopped when they heard the sound, and looked up, only to see a monster-like dog looking at them.

The dog's body was as big as the whole room, with three heads, three pairs of vicious eyes that rolled around, and drooling from its mouth, falling on the three of them.

"Ahhhhhh!"

...

...

Filch held Mrs. Norris and walked quickly towards the restricted corridor on the fourth floor.

He had heard the noise in the library on the second floor, but he planned to catch Potter and Weasley first, and then go back to deal with another group of little wizards who were wandering at night.

There were so many prey tonight!

"Where did they go, Peeves?" Filch walked into the corridor, but didn't see anyone. He frowned and said, "Hurry up, tell me."

"Say 'please'." Peeves floated in the air.

"Don't mess with me, Peeves, where are they?"

"If you don't say please, I won't say anything to you," Peeves said in his annoying humming voice.

"Okay...please tell me."

"What words! Haha! I told you, if you don't say 'please', I won't say 'what words' to you! Haha! Hahahaha!"

Filch cursed Peeves angrily, and was about to turn around and leave when Malfoy let out a sigh, opened the door and rushed out, followed closely by Harry and Ron.

The three-headed dog bumped over, and a head squeezed out of the door. It roared and stared at the three little wizards who were running away.

"There's a monster!" Malfoy shouted, immediately hiding behind Filch.

Harry and Ron escaped and collapsed on the ground with weak hands and feet.

Filch looked at Lu Wei whose head was stuck and said with a smile: "This is a treasure that Professor Dumbledore got. He warned you not to come to the restricted area and disobey..."

He took out a pair of handcuffs, cuffed Harry and Ron's hands, and said sadly:

"First, I went to the Three Prizes Exhibition Room to cause damage, and then I broke into the restricted area. Let's go! Come with me to see Professor Snape!!

He will be happy to see you both. "
