Chapter 48 He Runs Away, He Chases, but He Can’t Escape Even with Wings!
Walking down the dark corridor, both Harry and Ron felt that their first night outing was going so smoothly that it was a bit unbelievable.
They had walked a long way since leaving Gryffindor Tower. They had not met any prefects, ghosts, professors or administrator Filch, and surprisingly they had not even taken the stairs. Getting lost...is as relaxing as taking a walk in your own back garden.
"George and Fred also told me that traveling at night is dangerous." Ron curled his lips and said with a dismissive look: "That's it?"
"Yeah, and Granger, I thought she would report us, or come out at night to stop us." Harry was a little surprised.
"Didn't she say she was going to find Rolf? She stopped talking after she came back. It was probably Rolf who persuaded her." Ron guessed.
"I don't know how Rolf can bear to be friends with someone with this kind of personality?"
"Rolf may just have a good temper..." Harry sighed: "He probably won't refuse others."
The two of them walked along the corridor and tiptoed toward the third floor. When they almost arrived at the prize display room, Ron pulled Harry and whispered:
"Are you ready? Harry."
"Yeah, but I'm still a little nervous."
"It's okay, it's my first time too... I hope it can be over soon. I have classes tomorrow, so I can't stay up too long."
"I'm afraid..."
"Don't be afraid, I'm actually very powerful!"
The two entered the trophy display room. The crystal glass cabinets shone in the moonlight, and the trophies, shields, medals and statues shone with silver and gold.
Just didn't see Malfoy and his little followers.
Harry took out his wand in case Malfoy swooped in and attacked him, but the seconds passed and there was still no one.
"Is this really a scam as Granger said?" Harry hesitated.
Although Ron believed that they might have been deceived, he didn't want to admit it. He still said stubbornly:
"Maybe Malfoy is late, maybe he is too scared to come."
"Maybe... he is waiting for you two with someone." Filch suddenly jumped out from the corner, his eyes shining with excitement.
"The Boy Who Lived, Harry Potter, and a Weasley! I wanted to drive your twin brothers out a long time ago, but I didn't expect to catch the younger brother first. It seems that you are far less smart than your two brothers. …”
Filch grinned so happily that he almost reached the back of his head. He showed his jagged yellow teeth and said with a smile: "Tonight is a double blessing!"
Malfoy stood aside with the corner of his mouth raised. He stared at Harry's face and said triumphantly: "Have you been cheated? Potter, I'm in solitary confinement. How can you still sleep freely in the dormitory?"
Ron was about to curse Malfoy when Harry shouted at the top of his lungs: "Run!"
"Don't even think about running away!" Filch roared angrily. He blocked the intersection with his thin body, but he couldn't stop the two of them at all.
Mrs. Norris rushed over and hit Ron in the face with a claw. Ron was so painful that he threw it away and hit Malfoy's face.
Malfoy's face was also scratched with a mark by the furious Mrs. Norris.
Filch picked up Mrs. Norris and chased her out in a hurry. With an angry look in his eyes, he shouted: "You can't run away!"
Malfoy stood up dizzily, ignoring the claw marks on his face, and chased him out. However, he slowed down a few steps, walked around several corridors, and lost sight of Filch.
The most important thing is that he is lost!
Malfoy had no choice but to find a random direction and chase him.
Harry and Ron walked around the doorposts and ran through corridor after corridor. They had already lost their way. They were running around holes and stairs.
"We should have gotten rid of them already." Harry breathed heavily, leaning against the cold wall and wiping the sweat from his forehead.
Ron also bent over and gasped: "But... Filch has already seen us."
"It's okay, as long as we go back to the lounge... that's it! If Filch can't get into Gryffindor Tower, we'll die tomorrow without going out for a night out." Harry could only think of this last resort.
"That despicable Malfoy guy, a coward! He is a Slytherin, we shouldn't believe his lies." Ron cursed.
Harry was a little speechless. Why didn't you say that earlier? You promised to come out for a duel at night on my behalf!
The two rested for a while and continued moving forward, but just after walking more than ten meters, they saw a door being opened.
Peeves jumped out of a classroom. He saw two little wizards and screamed happily: "The little wizards went on a night trip! The little wizards didn't sleep at midnight!"
"Shut up, Peeves... please... you will get us kicked out." Harry begged. He really wanted to learn the magic that Rolf used to drive Peeves away.
Peeves was still chuckling.
"Annoying freshmen, wandering around in the middle of the night. Tsk, you will be arrested."
"No, as long as you don't betray us, Peeves, please."
"I'm going to tell Filch," Peeves said seriously, but there was a mischievous glint in his eyes. "This is for your own good, you know? Night outings are prohibited in the school."
"Get out of here." Ron said fiercely, reaching out and slapping Peeves hard.
This provocation undoubtedly angered Peeves, who yelled:
"The ghosts are being bullied... The students are not sleeping and they are bullying the ghosts... They are in the corridor of the Charms class!"
Harry was speechless. He started running again, and when he reached the end of the corridor, he bumped heavily into a figure.
It's the lost Malfoy!
Malfoy was knocked to the ground and hit an armor. There was a crashing sound throughout the floor. He cursed angrily: "What bastard walks in the middle of the night without eyes?"
He looked up and saw that it was Harry, and shouted at the top of his voice: "I've caught Potter, I've caught him, come on Filch... Ouch!!"
Malfoy was kicked by Harry, hitting his little Malfoy. Ron also picked up the armor and threw it at Malfoy.
The two of them didn't seem to be planning to run away, and wanted to give Malfoy a good beating before being caught.
Malfoy endured the pain in his crotch, got up and ran away, with Harry and Weasley chasing after him.
He ran away,
He chases,
It’s hard to fly without wings!
Peeves shouted from the side: "The fight is starting, the fighting is starting."
Malfoy ran to the end. There was only one door there, but it was locked. He couldn't open it at all. Not far away, Harry and Ron were chasing after them with murderous intent.
Peeves floated next to Malfoy, with his hands on his hips, and a joking smile flashed in his eyes: "Call me Uncle Peeves, and I will open the door for you. I, Peeves, always keep my word."
Malfoy was able to bend and stretch at critical moments. He immediately shouted: "Uncle Peeves! Open the door quickly!"
Peeves smiled with satisfaction. He took out a piece of wire from nowhere and fiddled with the door lock a few times. The door opened with a chirp.
Malfoy immediately dodged in. He was about to close the door, but Harry also rushed over. He jammed his foot into the crack of the door, and then slammed it directly into the door.
Malfoy was knocked to the ground, and Harry staggered in. However, he tripped over Malfoy on the ground and fell heavily on him.
Ron also squeezed in, and he bumped into Harry, his whole body pressed against him.
Harry looked horrified because he found that his mouth was heading towards Malfoy's mouth.
There is no way to avoid it!
