Chapter 829 Wisdom for All Lords
This Buddhist who blocked the road had big ears, and it was hard to tell what he was like. His eyes were slightly closed, and his fingers were fiddling with the Buddhist beads. He was chanting Sanskrit, which had a rhythm that could develop people's six senses and make them more acute.
Seeing the Buddhist in front of her, even though Yuan Rongyi was the saint of the Six Dusts Temple, she put her hands together and saluted, with a respectful look, saying: "Disciple greets the Master of Wisdom."
The Master of Wisdom is one of the five masters.
The five masters are an official position in a large temple, with a high status. They are in charge of education. They are student monks, or teaching monks. They do not participate in wars and cannot be self-proclaimed. They must go through hundreds, thousands, or even tens of thousands of debates to refute the other party before they can achieve this position.
There are five groups under the seat of the five masters. Under the guidance of their respective masters, the five groups either lecture on the Mahayana sutras, practice Zen, study the "Great Wisdom Theory", lecture on the "Ten Stages Sutra", or read the "Great Nirvana Sutra".
It is good for a temple to have one of the five masters. Temples with all five masters are truly great temples.
Among them, the master of wisdom got his name because he taught the "Great Wisdom Theory" to his disciples.
Being able to become one of the five masters means that the Dharma is already profound among the Buddhists. Below the five masters, there are twenty-five masters and ordinary good men and women.
Among the five masters, being the master of the five masters means that the Dharma is even more profound.
Wu Yi understood the status and identity of the five masters, so after hearing Yuan Rongyi call the monk in front of him like this, Wu Yi also bowed and bowed without mentioning it.
The monk had a kind face and said without delay: "The donor came to borrow the teleportation array. According to convention, he needs to pass the six thieves."
Wu Yi looked at Yuan Rongyi in surprise. He was not surprised that the master of wisdom understood his intention. Yuan Rongyi might have sent the news back long ago.
But since there is the Six Thieves Pass, why didn't Yuan Rongyi tell him before? But since this Zhidu Master said so, Wu Yi had to accept it and replied: "Yes!"
"In that case, the donor will follow me." Zhidu Master said, leading the way alone.
"This is the Zhidu Statue of Zhidu Master, which is dedicated to saving outsiders. It should appear in front of you when you come here for the first time." Yuan Rongyi whispered in Wu Yi's ear, which explained why Wu Yi saw such a giant when he first arrived. Since this is the so-called Zhidu Statue, it is similar to the existence of a clone!
However, Wu Yi couldn't even see through the clone of this Zhidu Master. The cultivation of the real body is probably no less than Taichu. In Buddhism, it should be said that he has become an Arhat.
Zhidu Master has walked for a while. Since Wu Yi has arrived here, he can only go on with his head held high. Yuan Rongyi said goodbye to Wu Yi and went to another place. What happened next has little to do with her.
Along the way, the sound of Buddhists chanting sutras was endless, and the sound of Tao filled his ears. At first, Wu Yi felt that it was a bit noisy, but after getting familiar with it, he slowly adapted to this environment.
In addition to Buddhists, there should be more statues of various bodhisattvas and arhats. After only walking a short distance, Wu Yi saw statues of ancient Buddhas such as Manjusri Bodhisattva, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, Medicine Buddha, Huayan Three Saints, Four Heavenly Kings, and Four Vajra.
The divine light was faint, the divinity was implicit, and an obscure force lingered around the statues. Wu Yi did not dare to look at it more, so he retracted his gaze and worshipped the Buddha with sincerity.
"It is indeed a holy place of Buddhism!" Wu Yi praised, but the wise master was only there to lead the way, and had no intention of paying attention to Wu Yi at all.
After being bored, Wu Yi stopped talking, and looked at the six directions with his eyes and listened to the eight directions.
While observing the scenery in all directions, Wu Yi was wary of hidden ambushes. Even if he knew that if Liuchenguan really took action, he would have no chance to escape.
This can also be regarded as Wu Yi's character. Although there was no so-called ambush until the final destination, after all, it was a big sect, so it would not be so shameless. Wu Yi did not expose the treasure and give the other party a chance to attack.
The leaders of Zhidu stopped in front of a lake. The lake was only a hundred feet in radius. If it was an ordinary lake, Wu Yi had ten thousand ways to make it disappear without a trace.
But it is not an ordinary lake, not made up of ordinary water. Although it looks rippling and sparkling, it reflects colorful light under the sunlight.
If you observe these lights carefully, you will find that there are human emotions and desires in it, which are extremely charming and rich and difficult to dissipate.
The seven emotions and six desires of people can actually manifest. I don’t know how many trillions of people’s seven emotions and six desires are gathered together, just like countless years of grease accumulated, which makes people sick.
If an ordinary person enters this, I’m afraid he will become an idiot immediately! Wu Yi thought to himself that he had never heard of any level to use the teleportation array. This Liuchen Temple really has many rules. If you don't want me to use it, just say it directly. Why refuse it in a roundabout way!
The Zhidu masters looked back and shouted: "Donor!"
Wu Yi suddenly shuddered, his eyes became much clearer, and he was extremely surprised at his previous changes.
What happened? When he came to this lake, the desires that he suppressed in his heart were magnified countless times. It seemed that the anger was magnified before, which caused many negative emotions.
This lake is really extraordinary. Wu Yi unfolded the Dao rhyme of the Great Way of Tranquility, lowered his head and looked at this lake. His mind was full of thoughts. Maybe it was a good place to temper his own Dao of Tranquility.
The Zhidu masters saw Wu Yi's Dao rhyme of the Great Way of Tranquility, and their eyes were different. They said: "Donor and my Buddhist sect are destined!"
The next sentence should be a suggestion to convert to Buddhism! Too straightforward! Too direct! Really not pretentious at all!
Wu Yi said: "This is my first time in Buddhism! I wonder if your temple is a Mahayana or Hinayana school?"
The Zhidu Masters laughed and said: "How about Mahayana, how about Hinayana?"
"Mahayana saves the world, Hinayana saves oneself, my disciples are dull, and I dare not say that I can save all sentient beings."
"No! Mahayana and Hinayana are from the same stream, the paths are different but the end point is the same, all for saving all sentient beings in the world!" The Zhidu Masters replied with a smile, just afraid that Wu Yi would not talk to him, since he was debating with him, there was nothing to be afraid of.
"So, your temple is a Mahayana school!" People in the Taoist sect often get close to Hinayana and reject Mahayana, because the former is similar to their transcendental morality, while the latter is very different.
"Our temple has both Hinayana and Mahayana, and is tolerant and open to all!"
"How to accommodate them?" The fierceness of the dispute between Mahayana and Mahayana Buddhism is no less than that between Buddhism and Taoism. As the saying goes, heretics are more hateful than pagans, and it is not just a casual saying.
Wu Yi did not particularly believe in the words of the Zhidu Masters.
"All beings are equal, and existence is the truth. When they should exist, they exist. When they should not exist, they will be depressed. Why do we have to argue so often?" The Zhidu Masters looked compassionate.
