Chapter 15 I Was Brainwashed Before School Even Started
Ron pulled out his wand somewhat embarrassedly. It looked a bit old and didn't look like something a freshman would use. It might be a second-hand product, or even a third-hand product.
However, considering the Weasley family's "poverty", this was not surprising.
The wand he used might have been passed down from his family. As for how many generations it had been passed down, that depended on the situation.
Ron cleared his throat and raised his wand slightly, "Yang..."
As soon as he said the first word of the spell, a girl in a black robe appeared at the door of their box, looking a little out of breath.
"Hermione?"
"Huh?" The girl was stunned for a moment, as if she didn't expect that someone here knew her, and then she turned her eyes to where the voice came from.
"Aaron? You're here too?" Hermione said with some joy.
"What else?" Aaron rolled his eyes, "I'm also a freshman at Hogwarts, it's normal on this train!"
"Yes." Hermione said a little embarrassedly, "By the way, did you see a toad? A guy named Neville lost one."
"Woo..." Abe groaned softly, and then patted his belly proudly.
Hermione's face changed slightly, "Don't tell me it was eaten by it."
Pah!
Aaron patted Abe on the head directly, "Don't get me wrong, it just ate a chocolate frog.
As for the toad you mentioned, we haven't really seen it yet."
"Okay!" Hermione said, and then put her eyes on Ron's wand, "You are casting magic. Can I see it?"
Ron cleared his throat again, trying to make the sound of his spell clearer.
"Sunshine, daisies, butter fragrance.
Hurry up and turn this stupid fat rat yellow."
The wand was waved, and then nothing happened, not even a hair changed color.
Ron looked at the three people in the box awkwardly, his face slightly red.
Aaron's mouth twitched, "Ron, your brother must like to play pranks, right?
I think I have read a lot of books and know a lot of spells, but this is the first time I have heard such a spell.
Are you... sure it is a spell?"
"Uh..." Ron didn't know what to say, and he realized that he was probably fooled by Fred.
"Indeed, your spell doesn't seem to work." Hermione said, "Of course, I have tried a few simple spells, and they are all quite effective."
Hermione took out her wand and sat next to Aaron, pointing the wand in her hand at Harry's worn glasses, "For example..."
Before she finished speaking, the black wand in her hand was pressed down by Aaron.
"Aaron, what are you doing?" Hermione said a little unhappy, and her interest in casting spells was much less.
"I just think it's best not to point it at people when testing spells, or at least get their consent.
It might be impolite and dangerous for you to do it directly. If it succeeds, it's fine, but if it fails..."
Hermione then noticed that the boy opposite her was staring at her nervously, with a look of panic in his eyes besides vigilance.
"Excuse me, can you give me your glasses?"
"Oh, no problem." Harry breathed a sigh of relief, then took off his glasses and handed them to Hermione.
Hermione gently waved her wand and chanted the spell, "Ocarus Repelo."
The patch on the nose pad of the glasses suddenly popped out, and the nose pads became new.
"It will be fixed soon." Hermione said.
Harry picked up the glasses with wide eyes and looked at Ron who was surprised beside him. It seemed that he didn't expect this proud girl's magic to be so effective.
Hermione also noticed the lightning scar on Harry's forehead and said in surprise: "It's amazing, you are Harry Potter."
"Wait? Hermione, how do you know him?" Aaron asked in surprise. It is normal for wizards to know Harry Potter. After all, this boy who survived a disaster is a household name in the magic world.
But Hermione is a child from a pure Muggle family. She also knows the name of Harry Potter, which is a bit abnormal.
Muggles may know only a little less about the magic world than Harry Potter himself.
"Read books! His name is in several books that record the history of modern magic." Hermione said as a matter of course.
"I see. You're so studious, you'll probably be sorted into Ravenclaw."
"Ravenclaw?" Hermione raised her eyebrows slightly, "But I want to go to Gryffindor. Dumbledore graduated from that academy, so you can imagine how excellent it is.
What about you, Aaron? Which academy do you want to go to?"
"Me? It doesn't matter, as long as it's not Hufflepuff.
But there's a high chance that you'll be sorted into Slytherin!"
"No, you can't go to that academy?" Harry said hurriedly, then blushed and lowered his head to explain: "I heard from Hagrid that most of the people who came out of that academy are dark wizards."
"Huh?" Aaron frowned, then laughed disdainfully: "If I'm not mistaken, this Hagrid must have graduated from Gryffindor!
Only people from Gryffindor would hate Slytherin so much."
"But my parents also said that there are no good people in Slytherin." Ron said.
"Huh? Your parents didn't graduate from Gryffindor, did they?"
Ron didn't say anything, indicating his tacit agreement.
"Oh my god! You two are really...brainwashed before you even enter school.
If Slytherin is really that bad, why does Hogwarts still keep this college?
If Slytherin is demolished directly, wouldn't the security environment in the wizarding world be greatly improved?
And as far as I know, Slytherin is the best college among the four colleges."
"Anyway, Slytherin is the worst." Ron muttered, "The mysterious man came from that college."
"Oh!" Aaron sighed, "Forget it, wait and see!
I don't think there is any good or bad college, only people are. You can't say that there is no good person in such a big Slytherin!"
This sentence made Harry and Ron speechless. Although they hated this college, they really couldn't deny the people in the entire college just because they didn't like it.
"That's right." Hermione stood up with a smile, "I still have to help Neville find his toad, so I'll go first.
By the way, let me remind you that it's time to change into your uniforms. We should be there soon."
Hermione paused as she walked out of the compartment. She turned her head and looked at Ron, then pointed at her nose, "There's something dirty on your nose, did you know? It's right here."
Ron glared at her lightly, then began to wipe it with his hands. After finding the black on his hands, he looked at the two of them angrily, "You didn't remind me."
"Sorry, you're on my left, and my eyesight is not very good, so I didn't see it." Harry said.
"Dirty thing?" Aaron couldn't help laughing, "I thought it was a birthmark?"
Ron:......
As night fell, the express train got closer and closer to the terminal, and finally stopped with a long whistle.
Students of all grades wearing black robes got off the train one after another, and the originally empty platform suddenly became crowded.
But it wasn't too crowded, after all, the students' suitcases were all on the bus, and they would be packed and sent to Hogwarts.
"We're here, first-year students please go this way.
Come on, first-year students, don't be shy, hurry up and follow." A rough-looking, bearded giant was holding a lamp and said loudly.
"He's Hagrid." Harry excitedly introduced to Ron and Aaron.
"From the giant family?" Aaron raised his eyebrows, "Nowadays, the number of giants is relatively rare. I've only seen them a few times in Diagon Alley. I didn't expect there are also giants in Hogwarts."
"He's a gamekeeper." Harry said, and then waved and greeted Hagrid.
