Chapter 530: Xitian's Foundation (Was Reviewed Last Night)
Li Qi believes that these mortals are born in a muddle-headed manner, and then die in a muddle-headed manner, and their whole lives are over. This is also Li Qi's view. After a person dies, he is truly dead, and reincarnation is no longer the same person as before. This is also Li Qi's view. According to the opinion of most shamans, when Li Qi first read the book "Zhu", they said that the ghost was no longer the original person, but another composition, but with the same memory.
So he didn't turn around for a while.
But his ability to understand is still very strong. After Sakyamuni Drapa reminded him, he immediately realized something.
Buddhism does not believe that death is the end.
They believe that life is a continuous reincarnation, and you are still yourself after reincarnation.
so……
These people, these things, and these constantly reborn lives are actually just a fleeting moment in their long lives, a very short moment.
Li Qi suddenly realized where Buddhism’s ‘compassion’ came from.
In this Western Heaven, everyone... no, all life, including those cattle and sheep, including those tenacious grasses, are essentially the same.
Under the gaze of the Buddha, all lives are equal, and all existences are treated equally. Their current forms are only temporary. They will continue to learn, continue to try, and continue to have new lives in the endless reincarnation. .
After endless attempts, one day they will finally have enlightenment and realize that they are in reincarnation and retain their memories in every life.
And then continue, they will eventually "achieve" and obtain the first fruit, that is, reach the "Sotapanna stage", temporarily escape reincarnation, gain immortality, and truly embark on the path of spiritual practice!
Therefore, the suffering of these mortals is only temporary. They will most likely turn into cows and sheep, or grass and trees, or monsters in their next life, but it doesn't matter.
These changes are temporary, just a short-term component of the endless reincarnation. One life is not important at all. As the reincarnation progresses, they will make little progress and finally step into the door of practice.
All of this is just for enlightenment and enlightenment.
"What is enlightenment?" Sakyamuni Drapa said: "Recognize the reality of the world, see clearly the illusion of this moment, awaken the wisdom of past lives, and integrate the memories of countless reincarnations into one. Cattle, sheep, cats and dogs are you, insects and butterflies are you. , the trees and weeds are you, the demons and evildoers are you, the men, women, and children are you, the slaves and slaves are you, the princes and generals are you, the wise and wise men are you, and you are the ultimate enlightened one.”
"All living beings are equal, and all living beings are you."
"To have such a gift come to everyone in the West, senior, isn't this considered 'compassion'? If this cannot be considered 'compassion', then there are still other measures in this world that can be called 'compassion' ?"
Following Sakyamuni Draba's rhetorical question, Li Qi took a deep breath, and then looked outside at the countless mortals and living beings who were working at sunrise and taking rest at sunset.
After being explained by a real Buddhist practitioner, he truly realized the works of the Buddhas.
Worthy of being a first-class product, this is truly a big deal!
Li Qi could fully imagine the advantages that such enlightened people, or those with 'first attainment', would have.
The Six Paths of Reincarnation combines the memories of all reincarnations to create an 'enlightened consciousness'. Practitioners born through such a set of processes are naturally adapted to immortality.
Because they themselves are a combination of countless reincarnations, they can easily control long lives, and have vision and wisdom beyond ordinary people.
This ordinary person refers to the other seven grades.
For example, Li Qi is only about a hundred years old now. In terms of vision, he is probably not as good as the seventh-grade people who have grown up like this. No wonder Monk Zenzhi is so strong and can defeat all the seventh-grade people in Guangyang with one against three. , even the landscape formation can be suppressed by force.
It's all for a reason.
"Indeed, Buddhism... has something." Li Qi nodded: "You are right, and it has opened my eyes. Then... I have another question. Are people like you called ' Jugu’, right?”
Sakyamuni Zapa clasped his hands together and immediately replied guiltily: "That's true, but this name is just nonsense. It cannot be taken seriously. Now that we can't even open our consciousness, how can we call him Buddha? It's just the praise of ordinary people. "
Li Qi waved his hand and didn't care about this, but asked: "Let's not talk about the name. According to your statement, 'Zhu Gu', that is to say, you were also a practitioner in your previous life?"
Sakyamuni Drapa nodded: "Yes, in reincarnation, each life must be better than the last. In my previous life, I embarked on the path of spiritual practice and achieved the ninth level. I was able to retain part of my memory. Before I died, I designated my location and asked the temple to find me. The reincarnation is the body I am using now."
"As our cultivation level improves, we will have more and more contact with our own wisdom. Now I can see my previous ten lives, and I can also vaguely perceive where my next life will be. It can point out the location of the reincarnation, making it easier for others to find themselves.”
"With the improvement of cultivation level, memories of past lives are awakened... In other words, the mystery of the womb is not difficult for you, right?" Li Qi asked.
This thing is amazing.
As we all know, even many powerful people are unable to penetrate the mystery in the womb, resulting in memory loss and the inability to practice again after reincarnation.
As for Buddhism, can these people of the ninth grade be able to see through some of the mysteries in the womb?
Shakya Zhaba explained: "This is the meaning of opening consciousness. What is confusion? It is the confusion in front of the eyes. The so-called confusion in the womb and the mystery of the five aggregates are all like this. The so-called opening consciousness is to open the eye consciousness, ear consciousness, nose consciousness, tongue consciousness, body consciousness, consciousness, manas consciousness and alaya consciousness."
"Among them, the five senses of eyes, ears, mouth, tongue and body represent the basic sense of touch. By opening these true consciousnesses, we can see through the falsehood and see the true law. Manas consciousness is like the original nature. By opening manas consciousness, we can see the true self. The me in the previous life, the me in this life, and the me in the next life are all the true self. If we can see the true self, what difference does it make in which life?"
"As for the alaya consciousness... please forgive my stupidity, I have never opened it myself, so how can I describe it to you? ? "
After listening, Li Qi did not force it, but praised and asked: "The Dharma of Buddhism is indeed magical, so you will only make progress and not regress?"
Hearing this question, Shakya Zhaba shook his head: "How is it possible? Trapped in reincarnation, countless confusions, countless pains, if you can't see through, trapped in a certain life, then you are obsessed with appearances, unable to recognize the true self, and naturally regress. "
"In fact, many of my fellow monks are like this, trapped in the vanity of this life, thinking that the previous life is unreliable and the next life is unreliable, focusing on the enjoyment of this life, and neglecting practice, which is a pity. "
"So that's it. "Li Qi nodded, and he completely understood the reason for the current situation in the West.
It's really... magical.
The Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are really amazing. Although Li Qi still thinks that people die when they die, and the newborn is no longer the original self, but Buddhism obviously has another view on "self".
Just like Li Qi has an answer to "I am me", Buddhism is always facing the invasion of demons, so any Buddhist practitioner will think about "I am me" from the beginning.
And this is their answer.
In their view, reincarnation is the continuous transformation of the self. Except for the "true nature", everything else is false and not the real self.
The relatives, feelings, memories, reputation, and wealth of this life are all fleeting. It is very likely that there will be other relatives, other memories, other feelings, and other wealth in the next reincarnation.
Therefore, there is no need to stick to the current suffering, care about the current pain, and do not enjoy the current happiness and indulge in temporary joy.
Because these are all "empty", "nothing", all fleeting, and unreal. With the reincarnation of life after life, these will disappear and be obtained. For the "true nature", this is a continuous dream.
Everything is like a dream, like a shadow in a bubble, like mist, unpredictable and impermanent. At the same time, it changes as fast as lightning, so we must maintain our true nature, use our ‘true nature’ to maintain ourselves all the time, and look at everything in this world indifferently, don’t cling to it, and don’t let these things constrain our ‘true nature’.
“All conditioned phenomena are like dreams, illusions, bubbles, and shadows. Like dew and lightning, we should view them in this way.” Li Qi put his hands together and recited a Buddhist scripture to Shakya Zhaba.
This was his understanding after listening to the other party’s story. At this moment, the Buddhist scriptures that Li Qi had read merged with what happened in the real world.
Everything in this world, the birth and death again and again, are gifts from the Buddhas to the sentient beings in the West. In this cycle of reincarnation, they can experience life again and again and finally reach enlightenment.
This is the compassion of the Buddha.
It is not to give pleasure, to give material enjoyment, but to give them the opportunity to truly realize themselves. The suffering and backwardness at this moment are not important at all, they are just passing clouds. We must see through all of this and finally reach the realm of enlightenment, so that we can get rid of such reincarnation and truly embark on the path of practice.
I think so. As far as the current situation of Buddhism is concerned, only those who recognize the true nature at the beginning of the seventh level can have the ability to resist the erosion of the demons, right?
Hearing Li Qi reciting the Buddhist scriptures, Sakya Zhaba immediately returned the greeting and chanted the Buddha's name to Li Qi: "Namo Vairocana Buddha."
"Thank you, little master, for clearing my doubts. I don't know if you need anything else. Just ask, and it will be my reward." Li Qi smiled and said to Sakya Zhaba.
I really benefited a lot. As expected, some things cannot be seen in books, and you have to experience them in person.
Sakya Zhaba replied: "Since the senior said so, then I will not refuse it. Then I will make a good cause with the senior."
"Oh? What good cause?" Li Qi was puzzled.
"Today's encounter is a good cause." Sakya Zhaba replied: "Perhaps it will bear good fruit thousands of years later?"
"Haha, then let's do it, Sakya Zhaba, my name is Li Qi, from Wushen Mountain, if you are not confused by reincarnation, maybe you can really bear good fruit." Li Qi laughed, then walked out of the room and closed the door.
The conversation with this little monk is very valuable, but now that the doubts in his heart have been resolved, he should set off again.
Flying through the mortal world again, seeing those mortals who have their own lives, Li Qi couldn't help but start to guess...
When will they remember today, or the reincarnation in the past?
Of course, for Li Qi, it is not very important.
In his opinion, life is only once.
Endless reincarnation... can it really guarantee "true nature"?
The ‘I am who I am’ that Li Qi recognized is essentially a connection of cause and effect. It is the self that is constituted by countless causes and countless results in life.
If this connection can be guaranteed to continue to be maintained, then whether it is reincarnation or amnesia, it is still himself.
But reincarnation... that is to grind a person into pieces, mix him with others, and then throw him out.
Maybe once or twice, you can still say that most of it is retained, but every time it is a little less. After thousands and thousands of times, can you really say... is it still yourself?
Li Qi dare not say.
However, Buddhism dares to say.
Well... everyone has their own opinions, and you can't say that others are wrong. If you insist on saying that others are wrong, then it is a dispute.
It will never end.
Li Qi understood why the West Heaven was like this, so he no longer felt strange about everything he encountered on the road.
He held a normal mind and began to understand the various customs and customs along the way.
There is a country called Magadha in the place he passed by. It is different from the stone desert he came from. The land is fertile and there are different rice varieties. The grains are coarse, the fragrance is extraordinary, and the color is very bright. The locals call it rice for adults.
With enough food, this place respects learning and respects Buddhism. Li Qi passed more than 50 temples and more than 100,000 monks here. Li Qi also met a monk of the seventh grade who had obtained the "first fruit" here.
After leaving here, Li Qi continued to move forward. After walking thousands of miles, he saw many people worshipping a relic, including practitioners, and even a sixth grade like him.
Li Qi was curious and went to pay a visit. He found that the relic was called "Tathagata Footprint Stone". Not far from the stupa, there was a big stone with two footprints on it. It was said that the Tathagata walked on it. The two footprints were still there. They were eight inches long and more than six inches wide.
Both footprints had wheel signs, and all ten fingers had patterns, and fish shapes were reflected, shining brightly.
Li Qi, like other tourists, tried to comprehend it, but got nothing.
Three thousand miles ahead, there is the Malaya Mountain, where there are white sandalwood trees and sandalwood trees. The trees are white sandalwood, and there is fragrance in them, which looks like mica and is as white as ice and snow. This is the so-called camphor incense, which has a miraculous effect on concentrating the mind. There are big snakes lingering on the trees, which can speak like people and are said to be able to tell fortunes, but they can only speak the local dialect. Li Qi failed to communicate and left in anger.
Another 7,000 miles, to the Sinhalese Kingdom, which is extremely luxurious. The king believes in Buddhism and uses perfume and fragrant wood to pour on the Buddha statues, or wash or burn them, and they are extremely precious and worship them.
The Buddha statue is a hundred feet high, shining with pearls and adorned with rare treasures. The precious light shines brightly day and night, and it looks like a star from a distance.
Li Qi looked from afar and saw a beggar under the Buddha statue, shaking his head and leaving.
It is still under review all night, and I don’t know what went wrong. It may be released after review, so everyone be careful
