Chapter 280 Ashes Flying in the Sky of King's Landing
As the first and second largest city in Westeros and Oldtown, King's Landing received great respect from the White Walker siege army.
In order to attack King's Landing, they spent an unprecedented long time outside the city to build three large catapults with the help of craftsmen who turned into wights.
Facing a city like King's Landing that is 80 feet high and has more than 16,000 defenders, the ant-climbing tactics will cause great losses, so the White Walkers once again used the refueling tactics used when attacking the Great Wall, attacking the walls and gates in batches and multiple waves, consuming the kerosene, wildfire and slingshots of the defenders on the wall.
This kind of manpower consumption is very amazing, and the defenders prepared a lot of wildfire. Under the city wall, the entire outer city's nearly 1,000-foot attack point and the snow curtain near the city gate were dyed the unnatural green of wildfire. The kerosene burned fiercely, and even the city wall could feel its terrible temperature, and smell the burning barbecue smell below that made people dare not think deeply.
If wildfire can supply the wall guards in unlimited quantities, then the defenders of King's Landing will undoubtedly be able to defend the wall even if a fool is in charge.
Unfortunately, nothing can be supplied in unlimited quantities. The significance of the refueling tactic is to use the army to consume the materials of the defenders on the wall.
There are too many siege troops of the White Walkers, and their attack methods are different from those of humans.
They don't have heavy things like battering rams, but they have docile sheep that people have never thought of as dangerous.
Unlike Winterfell, King's Landing, as a city with a population of 500,000, has a much larger area between its walls than Winterfell.
The strange blizzard accompanying the White Walker army invaded the city, and the wind and snow obscured the visibility of the defenders on the wall. When the defenders saw the zombies approaching, they were often close to the range of engagement.
So when the refueling tactic was followed by thousands of animal zombies attacking the city gate, combined with tall wooden ladders and catapults to throw zombie balls. The defenders were caught off guard and were a little confused, which led to the situation where the capital garrison was frightened and the captain abandoned the gate.
But the gate of King's Landing has iron gates, which are taller and heavier than Winterfell, and they actually blocked the door burning tactics that the zombies had successfully used in Winterfell.
However, the White Walker army's respect for King's Landing is more than that. The main attack direction of the army is the three gates in the north of the city, the Gate of the Gods, the Old City Gate, and the Dragon Gate. The Steel Gate and the Lion Gate in the east and west seem to have been harassed.
However, the defenders never expected that the White Walkers would have a secret strategy. After attracting the attention of the defenders at the Lion Gate, a team of White Walkers jumped from the Lion Gate Rosby Road, a dead end that the human army would never choose to attack the city, and jumped down the Blackwater Bay from a cliff more than ten feet high, and entered the cliff below Aegon's High Hill from the dangerous seashore that the human army would never take.
Then they entered the sewer in King's Landing from the world-famous but little-known underground secret passage in King's Landing. The wights will have some memories, and the people of King's Landing may never think of it. This makes the wights in the White Walker army who know the secret passage information in the Lannister army and the Warrior Sons team that went out of the city to meet them after fleeing back to King's Landing from Harrenhal.
Fate is magical. The Lannister army only knows some secret passages to sneak into King's Landing, while the mixed Warrior Sons know some secret passages leading to various streets in King's Landing. Taken together, the White Walker army has obtained enough information to realize the strategy of internal and external cooperation.
And this White Walker army that poured in from the secret passage lived up to expectations and became the most critical surprise force in the fall of King's Landing. In order to act secretly, they only have more than 2,000 people, and they are all short wights. But bypassing the city wall to enter the city, bypassing the defenders, facing unarmed civilians without armor. No matter how short the wights are, they are like a tiger entering a flock of sheep when they enter a crowd.
What's more, there are seven real White Walkers mixed in the tide of corpses.
The White Walker army was not in a hurry to capture the city walls. They aimed to kill civilians in the city, and then let the White Walkers mixed in the corpses quickly transform the corpses into combat power.
This move caused King's Landing to soon encounter the phenomenon that often appears in zombie movies, that is, every dead person will become a member of the corpse tide in a very short time.
This tactic quickly caused an avalanche effect in the civilian gathering area inside King's Landing. Humans became confused under the surging impact of the corpse tide, and this chaos quickly spread. The harm caused by the irrational crowd is sometimes much greater than the corpse tide. Targaryen's propaganda is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. In a hurry, they think of using fire to deal with the corpse tide.
So the King's Landing fire started like this.
The fire started from the chaotic townhouses in Flea Bottom. A large number of illegally expanded houses and intricate narrow alleys could not stop the spread of the fire. The piles of garbage in the center of the flea market became high-quality fuel to fuel the fire.
As if to respond to the blazing green flames of the wildfire that reached tens of feet high and reached the sky from the Tower of the Prime Minister on Aegon's Hill, as the fire spread rapidly in Flea Street, with a few loud noises echoing, the depression between Rhaenys Hill and Aegon's Hill in King's Landing began to explode, burning with green flames.
The wildfire explosion caused the flames to splash and spread to more places, Stinky Bay, Pickled Meat Street, and Muddy Road. When the flames spread to the bakery on Flour Street, this street with many bakeries and flour warehouses vividly demonstrated what a dust explosion is.
The rumbling sound of Bread Street was like thunder, completely waking up the entire King's Landing from the long night.
But it should be said that the explosion on Flour Street was actually a good thing for King's Landing. The explosion caused serious collapse of the houses on Flour Street, but in disguise formed a buffer zone, so that the fire did not continue to spread to Steel Street, Eel Lane, and Piglen Lane.
The open space in the church area of Silent Sister Street and the conscious fire prevention measures taken by the Alchemist's Guild also formed an isolation zone. The fire was able to avoid spreading to the abandoned dragon's lair and the Great Sept of Baelor, but because of this, even the zombies of the White Walkers were fleeing crazily in these directions in order to avoid the flames.
The fire spread out of control in most of the east and south parts of the city, advancing from Mud Road and Hook Alley to the central area of King's Landing.
This area was the first place where the city of King's Landing was developed under Aegon's High Hills. It inherited the tradition that King's Landing was just a high-hill fishing village at the beginning and lacked planning. The fire in this area was made of many tall wooden and stone buildings, with the top floors protruding so much that they were all destroyed. The buildings that touched each other and blocked the sunlight from the streets expanded faster, and began to spread from the mountainside of Aegon's High Hill to the Red Keep on the mountain.
If King Aerys II were here and saw this scene, he would definitely clap his hands in excitement.
With things developing like this, even the fall of the old city gate under the desperate attack of the White Walker army seems a bit insignificant.
Cersei and Jaime have both imagined King's Landing burning the city countless times. The difference is that Cersei wanted to burn the city and leave a ruin. Jaime wanted to prevent this from happening and save King's Landing. life in the city. Of course, he also has some selfish motives. During the Aerys period, it was Tywin who led his army to falsely enter King's Landing and enter the city, which became the last weight that overwhelmed Jaime's inner balance, causing him to commit regicide.
But now.
James looked blankly at the burning city, feeling dazed for a moment.
But Cersei was laughing loudly: "Burn them, burn everyone! Yes, that's what I want." But smiling, Cersei also began to have a trace of panic, "Jaime, hurry up, no It’s time, we have to leave King’s Landing quickly! There are countless wildfires buried under King’s Landing. This fire will soon spread underground, and then all the wildfire jars will be ignited and the entire city will be blown up to the sky!”
James was confused: "Is this what you want?"
"Those despicable and dirty commoners, those stupid pig-like nobles, they have long betrayed me, betrayed Lannister, betrayed Tommen. Think I don't know? I remember them all!" Cersei's green eyes were in green. The flames soaring into the sky looked extremely evil, "Qiebain's little birds all recorded the stinking words of those untouchables, all recorded I know what those powerful people said at the banquet! They all deserve to die, James, including the hens in the Red Keep. When we leave, I will blow up these traitors and stupid pigs! Haha, this is so wonderful, it saves me from having to send people to light fires in every corner of the city. This is what they deserve!”
James looked at Cersei's crazy smile, and the strange feeling in his heart became stronger and stronger.
But Cersei was very happy, as if her long-suppressed mood was finally released: "This fire is just a cover for us, Jaime, no one will know that we can escape from such a fire!" Her face showed. The smile I haven't shown for a long time under the pressure of these days, "James, Our Lady is protecting us!"
With that said, Cersei hurriedly stepped forward and took Jaime's hand.
No.
James shrank away from her.
"What are you waiting for? We're running out of time, Jaime." Cersei said eagerly, "Let's go get Tommen and leave for the port immediately!"
"No," James said.
"No?" Cersei's eyes widened, unable to understand, "You want to stay and die here with these stupid pigs? Please, are you crazy, Jaime?"
"Am I crazy, maybe." Jaime frowned, "You make me feel strange, Cersei, what turned you into this?"
Cersei frowned: "What? What does 'this look' mean? What does it look like?"
James asked with a straight face: "Do you believe in anything in your heart? Love? Loyalty? Honor? Family? Or, power?"
"What kind of stupidity are you doing to say this now? Do you really want Tommen and I to die here? Please, don't be stupid, okay? We have to leave quickly."
"We have come far enough, Cersei." Jaime called out to her. "Betrayal, regicide, abandonment of honor. Harming the innocent for love."
"What are you talking about?"
"I killed Aerys, you killed Robert—"
"Stop!" Cersei stopped him, "What are you crazy about? Do you think we should die here and perish with King's Landing? For the sake of 'love', Jaime, I ask you for the last time, you Should we leave or not?”
"Love?" James laughed miserably, "Really?"
Cersei was speechless: "What exactly do you want to say?"
"I know all about what you did in King's Landing. From Lancel."
"Please, are you saying this at this time? Lancel is crazy. Neither the family nor the castle wants him. He is a lunatic and a liar!"
"You slept with your cousins so they could help you kill the king?"
"Are you accusing me?" Cersei was asked by him and responded in a panic, "How can you accuse me? Don't you know how much I hate that fat pig Robert? Stark found out! Robert If Bob knew what happened between you and me, we would both die, but you can't help me. Where? What did you do? You went to fight with Stark and ran away! Why didn't you take me and the child with you? If I were a man, I would never do it. A woman was ridden by another man and walked away even though her life was threatened!”
"I"
"You want to say that you have difficulties? You want to make excuses with me?" Cersei sneered, "I've had enough excuses, Jaime. You could kill Aerys for yourself and your father, why can't you kill Law for me?" Bo?"
"A thousand times, I swear, I wanted to kill him."
"But did you ever take action?"
"What am I doing all this for? Isn't it for the children, not for you! Now you accuse me? Why do you accuse me?"
".The Moon Boy. Brother Kate Black?"
"Seven hells, James! How can you be so entangled and unreasonable like a stupid woman? I said, in order to protect the child, you have your sword and I have mine."
"I can't speak to you, Cersei. Ever since I was a child, I have never been able to speak better than you. I'm tired." He was heartbroken. Cersei's words were full of betrayal and excuses.
"What's wrong with you, James?"
"I don't want to leave. I'm tired."
Cersei went crazy and felt that James was incomprehensible: "Why, tell me!"
I don't know when there was a barrier between them. This barrier became thicker and thicker over time, making both sides unable to understand each other.
James said nothing, only lowered his head, and as if inadvertently, flicked away a large piece of ashes that fell on the white robe.
Cersei caught this: "Damn it, Jaime, don't tell me it's your honor that's causing trouble! Have you forgotten that you are the Kingslayer! This white robe means nothing to you!"
"Don't!" James, "don't say that word. Just leave."
"Why are you so heartless, abandoning me and Tommen for your 'honor'?"
James shook his head: "There are so many guards around you, and I am not missing one."
"No," Cersei said with a look of hatred, "Don't you understand, they can't be trusted! Jaime, come together, I need you. Our whereabouts cannot be exposed, you know?"
I see.
James suddenly realized: "You want me to kill the insider for you?"
Cersei became excited: "Yes, just like before!"
Just like before.
These words stung James's heart, ruthlessly peeling away the shell of honor he had finally found in his heart, revealing the bloody scars inside.
"No." After a long pause, James gritted his teeth and refused.
"Okay!" Cersei was furious at this rejection, "Okay! Then just stay here and wait for death with your honor in mind! I know that men are unreliable!"
With that, Cersei left with two clearly inhuman things beside her.
Soon, Cersei rushed to the king's residence and asked to take the king to Maegor's Tower for refuge.
The two men in white robes looked a little uneasy: "Your Majesty the Queen Mother, the king has just been bandaged to stop the bleeding, so it is not advisable to make any big moves."
"This is an order!"
No one dared to refuse.
Cersei then asked two white robes to carry a stretcher and escort the king away.
Boros looked at the direction Cersei was leading and couldn't help but ask: "Isn't this going to Maegor's Tower?"
Cersei didn't answer: "Shut up and follow."
The team quickly bypassed the main road of the Red Castle and came under the cellar. Here, Qyburn and two guards have been waiting here for a long time.
Marin Tran quickly saw that this was the storage room of the Red Castle. Wildfire cans were piled under a large number of dragon head skeletons: "Your Majesty, is this?"
Cersei didn't answer. He only ordered: "Marin, Boros, you two stay here, and after His Majesty and I leave, light the wildfire here. Then follow us."
The two men in white robes looked at each other and couldn't help but ask: "Your Majesty the Queen Mother, what about the Red Castle?"
Cersei looked at her coldly: "Are you going to disobey me?"
Although the two remaining white robes in King's Landing are not honorable men, they still feel hesitant to do such a thing.
But at this moment, Tommen's weak voice came from the stretcher: "Mother, Queen Mother, what are you going to do?"
It turns out that Tommen woke up.
"Oh, my child, do not be afraid. Mother will protect you."
"Ah?" Tommen was a little confused, "How is the battle in King's Landing? Shouldn't I be on the wall to boost morale?"
"Forget about the damn wall."
"These, here" Tommen finally confirmed his position by the light of the covered oil lamp, "Mother, what on earth are you going to do?"
"You don't need to know," Cersei looked at Tommen and then ordered to Qyburn's creation, "Take my son and leave."
"No! I won't leave!" Tommen struggled, "I am the king of Baratheon, and the king cannot." The child became stubborn, "Iron Guard! Iron Guard!"
Boros: "Your Majesty!"
Ser Merin did not respond.
"Come on, Tommen. You're a good boy, don't waste your precious time at a time like this."
"No, Queen Mother! I am the king of House Baratheon!" Tommen shouted, "Ser Boros, take me back to the Red Keep. I want to go to the throne room, I want to go to the tower!"
Boros hesitated: "This"
Tommen scolded: "Ser, where is the honor of the Kingsguard!"
Boros blushed: "Your Majesty." Cersei said coldly: "No! I have the final say here, Ser Meryn, if he dares to take a step forward, kill him!"
Marin hesitated for a moment and drew his sword.
Boros hesitated and did not dare to step forward. As the worst generation of Kingsguard, Boros was not a brave man.
"Your king is giving you orders, but you do nothing! I'm ashamed of you!" Tommen yelled, "You bring shame to the Iron Guard!"
"The King's Game is over!"
"I'm not going anywhere! Let me go. Ah!" Tommen struggled and rolled off the stretcher. The wound that had just been bandaged opened and bled slowly.
The smell of blood filled the cellar.
Cersei moved closer uneasily: "No! My child, come, treat the wound quickly!"
But at this moment, a hissing sound suddenly came from the cellar.
From the other end, the cellar door opened with a bang. One by one, strange blue eyes lit up from the other side of the door.
"Oh, no." The two white robes were startled, raised their swords, and stepped back half a step.
"No! No!" Cersei saw the eyes over there, "Kill them! Kill them!"
The four undead rushed towards the wights on the other side of the door.
The two white robes were at a loss and dared not step forward.
Qyburn came closer in panic: "Queen Mother, this road is blocked, what should we do?"
Cersei was going crazy: "You two idiots! Come to protect the king! It's all your fault! It's all your fault!"
Tommen endured the severe pain of the wound and hoarsely said: "Take me back to the Red Keep!"
Qyburn said at this time: "Stop the bleeding first, your majesty will bleed to death if this continues."
Tommen still said the same thing: "Take me back to the Red Keep!"
"Roar!"
The four living dead were quickly overwhelmed by more than a dozen wights.
The wights had already killed Cersei and others.
Cersei was already confused at this time.
Ser Meryn stepped forward with a sword.
Beros suddenly jumped up, picked up Tommen and fled back to the road.
Meryn Trant had already joined the battle at this time, and seeing this, he could only curse: "Shit, coward!"
Cersei had never experienced this before, and was at a loss. It was still Qyburn who grabbed her and fled back to the road.
Meryn Trant, the White Guard, was soon overwhelmed by the tide of corpses.
But this group of wights was in no hurry to chase. Instead, they used the corpses to extinguish the torches, and then began to move the wildfire pots stacked underground, and just let the fleeing humans leave the cellar.
King Tommen's blood flowed all the way.
When he fled back to the throne room, the boy king's face was as white as milk.
Jaime is here.
"What's wrong?"
Boros said in panic: "Ser Jaime, the tide of corpses came in from the cellar of the Red Keep."
Jaime shouted loudly: "I ask you Tommen!" He looked at Tommen's face, and then looked at the king's body. The gold-embroidered robe was soaked with blood.
"Ser Jaime!" The boy king's voice was already weak, "You are the captain of my Iron Guard. I want to know, do you still have the honor of the Iron Guard?" The boy lost too much blood, his eyes were blurred, and he was dying. But he still shouted the order in a hoarse voice, "Come here, help me to the Iron Throne."
Jaime felt mixed emotions for a while, stepped forward to help him up, walked up the steps to the throne, and placed him on the throne. He couldn't help but feel sad: "Child."
"Child?" Hot tears suddenly welled up in the boy's eyes, "Don't call me that, Sir Jaime. I am the King of Baratheon. You should call me 'Your Majesty'."
Jaime's heart suddenly felt like it was pierced by needles, but he nodded: "Your Majesty."
The boy's face was filled with unstoppable tears. He took a long breath and asked in a hoarse voice: "King's Landing was lost, wasn't it?" He murmured, "Did I not do it well?"
Jaime's throat was dry, and he answered very seriously: "It's not your fault, Your Majesty." His voice became hoarse, and his eyes turned red, "It's not your fault. You have done a good job."
The boy's eyes gradually lost focus, and he murmured: "Really?"
Jaime sobbed, tried to stay calm and answered: "Yes."
The boy paused for a long time, and finally said: "Sir Jaime, I. I. I am so tired."
After saying this, the boy's body collapsed on the throne, and his hands fell down weakly.
Jaime held the boy's hand tightly, as if trying to save something. However, he could only shed tears silently.
"No!!!" Cersei's scream rang out in the throne room, "No, what happened to my child? What did you do to my child!" She shouted loudly, using her hands and feet to run to the ugly iron chair. "No, no, no," Cersei cried hoarsely, "Father, Holy Mother, save him, save him, he is still a child, he is just a child"
"It's you!" Suddenly, Cersei's vicious green eyes looked at Boros who was at a loss under the throne, "It's you! Kill him! Kill him!"
Seeing Jaime motionless, Cersei pushed Jaime: "Go kill him! Go kill him!" But Jaime's muscles were tense due to his suppressed emotions, and Cersei almost fell to the ground after pushing him.
Cersei howled in extreme grief and anger: "You are also a murderer! You are all murderers!"
She went crazy and took out a sharp dagger from her waist with shaking hands. She was panicked, angry, and anxious. Her hands were shaking so much that she could barely hold the dagger and rushed towards Boros.
"Your Majesty." Boros widened his eyes and subconsciously reached for the sword at his waist.
But Cersei was not afraid at all. Tears flowed on her face like poison.
For some reason, Boros, who was afraid of death, did not draw his sword in the end.
Cersei's sharp blade pierced the neck of the iron guard. The first knife was very poor, but it was followed by the second and third knives.
Sir Boros mumbled something in his mouth, but no one could hear it clearly, and then he collapsed.
Cersei was still stabbing the air numbly. The blood gushing from Boros' neck dyed her golden hair, her face, and her green clothes red. The hot blood dripped into her mouth and flowed down her arms and fingers.
"You!" She looked numbly at Cobain, who was still calm. "You have a way, right? I know, you save him, save my son."
"Your Majesty the Queen Mother, this."
Cersei screamed, "Save him!"
"Yes, Your Majesty." Coburn bowed his head respectfully and walked towards the throne.
James protected Tommen: "What are you going to do?"
"Sir James," Qyburn said calmly, "please let me explain to you. According to the witchcraft records of the Asshai people, people have souls. I can take the soul of His Majesty Tommen——"
James looked at Qyburn and couldn't help but feel horrified. He knew the madness inside him and probably knew about Cersei's guards: "You can't touch him!"
"Sir James, if you have seen the academic texts that Dr. Marwen brought back from Asshai, you will know that death is not the end." Qyburn and Marwen were not close friends, but he was obsessed with the theory of soul, so he secretly learned from various schools in the city. After reading some taboo knowledge through various channels, I read Marwin's theory. The knowledge brought from Asshai fascinated Qyburn, and from then on he only recognized and respected Dr. Marwin.
But Qyburn is essentially a crazy academic lunatic, and his morality and humanity have been annihilated. Later, he was stripped of his bachelor's necklace and title by the city because he engaged in some unethical experiments on living subjects and studied necromancy. Later, this academic madman joined the Warriors, and the reason why he stayed in the Warriors was because he was allowed to conduct live experiments on ordinary people. Later, because he helped Jaime treat his broken limb, Qyburn followed Jaime to King's Landing and caught up with Cersei. And the reason why he is loyal to Cersei is because Cersei spared no effort to provide him with research samples, some of which even included nobles and knights.
James stopped Qyburn, but looked at Cersei: "Are you crazy, Cersei, let him rest in peace!"
"No!" Cersei screamed heartbreakingly, "He just fell asleep, leave! Since you have left us mother and son alone, it is not your turn to control what I want to do now!"
"I will never allow anyone to desecrate this child's body!"
Cersei screamed wildly: "Corpse? No! You're talking nonsense! Qyburn, leave him alone!"
Qyburn stepped forward.
James drew his sword: "One more step forward, wizard, and I will kill you."
At this time, a loud roar came from the Red Fort.
The floor of the throne room shook like the surface of the sea.
Cobain exclaimed: "Oh no, someone lit the wildfire we buried."
This is not surprising. The Red Keep is flooded with corpses. Some smart people will think of the cellar. Unfortunately, while this was happening here in the throne room, a group of men entered the cellar with torches and ignited a partially buried wildfire.
Cersei was shaking. She no longer cared about what was happening outside. She just stood in front of James and said, "Get out of the way!"
"Don't push me, Cersei."
Cersei became furious and raised her dagger to stab Jaime's left arm holding the sword.
James didn't hide.
Scarlet blood instantly flowed from his left arm.
Jaime's hand was still holding the sword tightly, and he looked at Cersei with wide eyes and disbelief.
Cersei yelled, "Qyburn!"
The mad wizard stepped forward.
There was a flash of white light.
James still maintained a shocked expression, but the sword in his left hand had already stabbed Qyburn through. He said that if he took another step forward, he would kill Cobain.
Cersei collapsed at that time: "What have you done!"
The crazy mother kept stabbing the sharp blade into James' left arm.
With a clang, the sword fell to the ground.
James didn't dodge.
From the wound on his left hand, blood passed through the wrist and soaked into the long sleeve, like red worms, crawling into the arm and fingers.
There was a sharp pain in his arm, but it hurt most in his heart.
Cersei suddenly laughed and laughed wildly: "Hahaha, stupid, stupid! Jaime, you, Robert, all of you, are stupid! Why should I look like this, why am I a woman, I should be Lannis A special lion, I should be my father's only heir! Don't you think I betrayed our love? James, the love between us has always been about me, not you.
You're supposed to have boobs and be crazy about bullshit love, and I'm supposed to be the one with the handles. Did you know? I think like this every time I make love with you, your body should have been mine, this is mine! I am you and you are me. I say this every time, this is what I mean, and fucking you feels like I am committing suicide.
Fuck you, James, you idiot! You should be a woman, you should be in this body of mine, you are like a mother-in-law and a mother-in-law, you are like a woman who is willing to die for love, you have no brain! Screw your honor, screw your regicide, screw your love. Who do you want to see now? How ugly you are! "
Cersei's face was filled with grief. She stroked Jaime's face, which was shocked by her words, and cried with special affection: "Why is this body not mine?" As she said this, she pushed Jaime to the steps of the throne and began to She took off his clothes and stretched out her bloody hand to pick out what he said, "Make me feel complete! Let my body and soul merge into one! Give me my body back!"
Jaime begins to believe that Cersei has gone completely mad. He stretched out his hand to block his body, and stopped her with the golden arm on his broken right hand: "You are crazy!"
Cersei started to struggle with him with her hands: "Fuck you idiot! Give me back my body! Give it back to me!"
James subconsciously stopped her random struggle, and put his golden arm against her throat.
Cersei ignored it: "Give it back to me! Give me your body back!"
Jaime's eyes were filled with hot tears, and his resolute face was covered with tears: "Don't push me, Cersei, don't push me."
Cersei saw his look and cursed: "You nagging fool, your cowardly soul has tainted my strong body!"
"Stop it!"
Cersei's words pierced Jaime's heart, and the pain made his voice distorted. The force of his hand pushing forward became stronger. It was difficult to tell whether Cersei's words were true or false, but he actually had the answer in his heart. Cersei's words were probably true. Her love for Jaime was a distorted self-identification, not the kind of "love" that Jaime thought. Cersei didn't love him at all, she only loved his twin body, because Cersei thought it was another body of hers, and Jaime's body allowed her to feel the integrity of her soul and body.
Then what was Jaime's crazy love for Cersei for decades?
The person he had been jealous of all these days was actually "Cersei", and he had never received Cersei's love?
He tried to find a little love in Cersei's eyes to tell himself that it was a lie, but all he saw was hatred and anger.
"Don't look at me like that, don't use that look. Don't!"
Hatred always grows from love. Jaime didn't want to see Cersei's cruel eyes. He had an urge to kill Cersei.
The strength of his arm gradually increased, and the other hand was raised unconsciously.
The flames of King's Landing were burning, and the wildfires of the Red Castle were bursting. There were rumblings outside, screams and chaos.
But the people in the throne room who were entangled in love and hate had no time to think about what was happening outside.
Ashes were floating under the sky of King's Landing.
