Volume 1: Journey to the West Chapter 72: Huang Long Returns to the World, Minjiang River Is Closed and the Three Flowers Bloom Again
The Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara left the Moon Cave Heaven in the Flowing Sand River and said to Gao Yulan's soul in his sleeve: "My good disciple, you have been wronged this time. But this pig-head is so powerful that it is not good to fight with him. You have lost your physical body and it is difficult to improve your cultivation. You should reincarnate and cultivate again. Then I will take you to the mountain." Gao Yulan said: "Master, I dare not blame you, but I hate that pig-head. He didn't even look at me and killed me with a stick. I will definitely take revenge for this in the future!" Bodhisattva He smiled and said, "Let him run rampant for a while." He stepped on the lotus platform and came to the territory of Xiliang in Xiniu Hezhou. He was about to find a pregnant woman to send Gao Yulan to take over her body and reincarnate. Suddenly, he had an idea and said to Gao Yulan, "There are two fewer disasters on the journey to obtain the scriptures, which is less than 9981. Yulan, I will wrong you this time and make a disaster with that Jin Chanzi." Without waiting for Gao Yulan to object, he saw a red-line cockscomb snake practicing in an evil mountain more than 300 miles below the source of the Minjiang River. It was hundreds of feet long. The snake was laying eggs at the moment. The Bodhisattva came to the big snake invisibly and gently pushed Gao Yulan into the snake eggs.
"Live well and don't commit evil. If Jin Chanzi passes by here in the future, you can scare him and it will be your merit."
The Bodhisattva had just left when he suddenly heard a loud noise in the Minjiang River below. He quickly looked back and was stunned: "This, this is..."
I saw a ten-thousand-foot-long yellow dragon sticking out from the center of the river, stretching into the mountains, swallowing the red-line cockscomb snake in one gulp. What snake spirit, what Gao Yulan, all turned into food in his stomach!
The Bodhisattva was very angry and was about to find the bad luck of the yellow dragon. Suddenly, he saw the dragon shrink rapidly and turned into a yellow-robed Taoist priest, sitting cross-legged on the river, breathing. I saw a milky white vapor coming out of the Taoist priest's head, and condensed into a ten-foot-sized lotus pod three feet above his head. There were three lotus seeds in the lotus pod, which suddenly took root and sprouted, swaying in the wind, and pulled out three crystal clear lotus buds.
A lotus blossomed on the left, and inside sat a Taoist in a yellow robe, who looked exactly like the original. A lotus blossomed on the right, and inside was a yellow dragon, with a slender figure, a high head, and colorful dragon balls. When the lotus in the middle blossomed, a mist suddenly spread from the buds, and even the Bodhisattva with a pair of wise eyes could not see what was going on inside.
The Bodhisattva was silent. When she saw the Taoist, she knew that this person was her former fellow disciple, Huang Long Zhenren, the first useless among the Twelve Golden Immortals of Kunlun, who had never cultivated the three flowers on the top after the battle of Conferred Gods. Unexpectedly, Huang Long Zhenren turned out to be a monster, and he had restored the three flowers in just over a hundred years.
The Bodhisattva did not want to see him and left quietly. The old Huang Long monster ate this long-cultivated red-line cockscomb snake, refined it, and finally refined the three flowers on the top again. His skills were even better than before, and he couldn't help laughing.
The old demon Huang Long stood in the air, stretched out his big hand and shouted, "Get up!" The Minjiang River, which was tens of thousands of miles long, was taken from the ground to the air by his great magic power, like a winding white dragon.
He has not only practiced for a hundred years, but also found the source of the Minjiang River, and refined this long river into the essence of Kuishui, which can be sent and received as he wishes. If it were in the past, Huang Long Zhenren would never do such a thing, but at this moment, he was determined to be a demon, indulged himself, had no obstacles in his heart, and his cultivation was also advancing by leaps and bounds, so he didn't care so much.
The water volume of the Minjiang River was incredibly heavy, but fortunately Huang Long had refined it and shrunk it into a half-foot long water snake, coiled on his wrist. As long as he found the best materials, created a magic weapon, and injected the Minjiang Kuishui into it, the power would be more impressive than the general Conferred God magic weapon!
It didn't matter that he took away the Minjiang River, but hundreds of countries in the Western Regions suffered immediately. Without water sources, there were years of drought, and the people were living in misery. Huang Long had been suppressed for thousands of years. Now he found his true self and was more weird than a monster. He didn't care about these things. He took the water snake away and thought: "I don't have any good acquaintances in the earthly immortal world, but I have many in the heaven. But now I am a monster, it is not easy to meet them. I still need to ask the Bull Demon King to forge the magic weapon. His words made me stop being a real person and become a monster. If he doesn't give me some benefits, he will be in trouble!" Huang Long ran to Cuiyun Mountain, but he didn't know that the Bull Demon King and his family went to Liusha River for vacation, and then moved to Shangqingtian and didn't come back for decades. The Huoyan Mountain near Cuiyun Mountain is rich in minerals, but Huang Long was too lazy to look for the Bull Demon King. He simply stayed in the mountain, captured thousands of little demons, ordered them to mine the veins, and started forging magic weapons. However, the little demons under his command had low magic power and could not enter the Huoyan Mountain to mine the veins. The old demon Huang Long then used his great magic power and used the Minjiang White Snake to brush the Huoyan Mountain, extinguishing the fire on the mountain. The people of a thousand miles around had suffered from the scourge of Huoyan Mountain and had been trapped for five hundred years. Now they were finally freed and cheered. They worshipped Huanglong Old Monster as if he were a Buddha. But when someone said something bad about Huanglong Old Monster, the crowd was excited and killed him with one shot. This was something Huanglong had not expected.
Under the Five Fingers Mountain in the Southern Continent, the Monkey King who had made a big fuss in the Heavenly Palace in the past finally waited for the monk who went to the West to obtain the scriptures. The monk's face was tired and miserable, but his expression was inexplicably excited, and his eyes were fanatical. He was a typical religious person.
The monk's secular surname was Chen and his name was Jiangliu. His Buddhist name was Xuanzang, also known as Sanzang, and he practiced the teachings of the Hinayana. Because the King of Tang issued an imperial decree, he sent Xuanzang to visit the West to obtain the true scriptures. It is said that killing one person is a sin, killing one million is a hero, and killing nine million is the hero among heroes. Emperor Taizong of Tang, Li Shimin, had killed countless people and was a hero among heroes. However, he was worried that he would suffer in the eighteen levels of hell after his death, so he decided to seek Buddhist scriptures.
Isn’t it said in the Western Lingshan Mountain that you can lay down your butcher’s knife and become a Buddha immediately? It is the superior Dharma prepared for those with bloody hands. As long as we obtain the true scriptures and continue to enjoy blessings after death, wouldn't it be great? The King of the Tang Dynasty made Chen Jiangliu his imperial disciple and worshiped him. Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva appeared and gave him a cassock with brocade and rare treasures and a nine-ringed tin staff, both of which were Buddhist treasures, and he went westward.
There was also Orion Boqin, who reported his bravery and protected Master Tang Sanzang all the way to the border. In front of him was the border of Tartar. Bo Qin did not want to leave the seclusion. Tang Monk was pleading hard when he heard a loud shout: "Is that monk a monk who followed the Tathagata's decree and went to the West to obtain Buddhist scriptures?"
The sound was like thunder, which made Master Tripitaka fall down. He sat on the ground and looked up. He saw an evil mountain in front of him, which was shaped like five fingers, but the middle finger was missing a section, as if it had been interrupted by life. There was a monkey sitting on the peak of the middle finger, wearing rags and no clothes, with a shining golden stick in one hand, and his eyes were like stars and lightning, staring at Master Tripitaka.
Tang Monk bravely responded and said, "Where did you come from as a monster?"
The Great Sage came to the monk in a flash and said: "I am the Great Sage Qitian who made a big fuss in the Heavenly Palace five hundred years ago. I was imprisoned here by the Tathagata Buddha just because I committed the crime of lying. Thirty years ago, I The master passed by here and advised me not to do evil again, to take refuge in Buddhism, to protect the pilgrims with all my heart, and to go to the west to pray to the Buddha. It will be beneficial if you succeed. Not long ago, Guanyin Bodhisattva also came here and asked me to protect you while you retrieve the scriptures. I thought about how to talk to Tathagata. Goodbye, I'll stay here and wait for you. My teacher asked me to become my teacher. Is there anything you can do? Come on, compete with me for three rounds. If you win, I will become your teacher. !”
Sanzang was so frightened that he peed his pants and said tremblingly: "How can this poor monk be so powerful? Your Majesty, please don't make fun of me. Since you are out of trouble, you should leave early. You will be your Majesty and I will go get my scriptures. The two have nothing to do with each other... …”
Sun Wukong smiled and said: "What a timid monk, I am too lazy to protect you to learn the scriptures, so I reluctantly agreed to the teacher. Although I am a monster, I also know how to be loyal. I said I will protect you, and I will protect you. As long as you are on the road. If you don’t chant sutras and talk about Zen, I will respect you as my teacher. But if you have any nonsense words, ask me about the stick in my hand first!”
Master Xuanzhuang was obedient and did not dare to contradict him. The monkey said again: "You should stay away and wait until I, the old man, get angry first!"
