Chapter 89 A Bad Story (Part 1)
The hands of the pocket watch turned back, and the camera began to go back in time.
When the Lizard Man fell from the top of the Stark Building, Dr. Connors only remembered that the whistling wind sounded in his ears, and gradually, he remembered the sound of shrapnel flying past his ears.
With the huge pain of falling to the ground and the bright red in front of his eyes, Connors seemed to have a dream.
Many years ago, he was just a newly enlisted military doctor. Like all young people of that era, they believed in the principles of defending their country, so he and his comrades participated in the war with confidence.
Connors could no longer remember their ambitious mood at that time. The cruelty of the battlefield shattered all their dreams. Injuries, death and bloodshed would not be given leniency to anyone because of ideals and ambitions.
When he returned to his hometown, Connors had become a scarred loser. He received a compensation, and then like a garbage bag with air leaking everywhere, he was thrown into the sewer in the corner.
This cruel society would not let him off the hook for his difficult and helpless life because of his past merits and honors. He began to clumsily learn how to live with one hand, like a clown on the stage who made people laugh and moved distortedly.
The sound of the bottles and jars falling down due to his collisions kept echoing in Connors' ears. His dreams became deeper and deeper. The few remaining colorful memories began to gradually disappear, and the rest was endless darkness.
He remembered that there was a young soldier in their team who loved to joke the most. When Connors saw him again, he was already old and unrecognizable, but he still told Connors with a smile on his face that he would be saved soon, the country had not given up on him, and he would soon become better.
Most of these young people who were once passionate did not have such a high level of education as Connors, and most of them had not been to college. Therefore, as long as they pulled out some seemingly profound terms, they would feel that they really got a God-given opportunity to change their miserable lives.
Connors learned about a secret plan of the military from the old comrade.
The night in his dream began to get deeper and deeper. Connors only remembered that the cold light of the computer screen flashed in his sight. When he saw the information recorded in a certain text, he knew that from now on, he had to shut up and remain silent forever.
In this terrible scam, no sober supporting role is needed.
After losing an arm, Connors lost the ability to speak again and became a mute.
Countless data became clearer and clearer in his dream. They surrounded him. The intense guilt and pressure that made him almost crazy completely engulfed him.
Connors made up his mind from then on that if life was destined to be a process of falling down, just like what he was doing now, even if he was going to die here, he had to leave a sufficiently painful mark on this land.
The last word in his consciousness was the name that he still couldn't forget in so many silent nights-"Desperate Plan".
The cold light of the computer screen shone on Peter's face. He was looking for information in the laboratory that Dr. Connors had used in Stark Tower.
After Dr. Connors was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment, Peter was overwhelmed by guilt. He knew that the problem must be with the serum that Dr. Connors had been studying. He could not help with the rescue, so he wanted to start with the research data of the serum to see if there was a way to remove the serum.
Although Dr. Connors withdrew from Stark Tower with his data, the results of this cooperative research belonged to Stark Group and the military, and part of it was still retained in the terminal data recording device of Stark Tower.
Peter knew that Dr. Connors had the authority to change the data on these devices, and he wanted to find some clues from them.
But what surprised Peter was that the data device used by Dr. Connors was too clean. No one would even delete the records of the calculator on it. Nothing was left except a series of numbers obtained by the results.
Peter felt very strange. Dr. Connors was not such a person. He was very rigorous in academic research and would not do such a thing as deleting the entire problem-solving process and leaving only a seemingly plausible result.
Peter kept searching in the computer, and finally he found some clues. He found that the combination of some numbers seemed to be quite regular. Peter began to type quickly on the keyboard, and the blue light of the screen reflected on his face and eyes. After a while, the light changed, and Peter said: "What is this? A website?"
Since this data terminal device is not allowed to connect to the Internet, Peter can only turn to Jarvis for help. Jarvis analyzed the website and found that it pointed to an encrypted website. This website was encrypted layer by layer, but this could not stop Jarvis. Soon, Jarvis got a picture from this website.
Peter looked at the holographic screen in front of him and said: "What is this? This looks like an abstract painting scribbled by a child. Are you sure this is what the encrypted website is trying to protect?"
"It's really the only one, Mr. Parker."
In the dark laboratory, Peter folded his arms and stared carefully at the messy lines on the painting. It was a piece of white paper with many black lines on it. It looked irregular, just like two strokes of crayon.
Peter frowned and looked at it for a long time. He said, "No, this picture shouldn't look like this. Jarvis, please help me flatten this picture and turn the lines on it into 3D."

"Is that so, sir?"
Jarvis did what Peter said, but what appeared was still a mess. Peter said: "Yes, that's right... Can you turn them into straight lines? Just follow the current turning rules..."
In less than a second, the messy pattern that was originally a mass of black curves turned into a pattern of broken lines.
Peter's eyes widened and he said, "It's a map of the New York sewers!"
He quickly opened his backpack and took out the piece of paper he had recorded on. He pointed at the piece of paper and said, "Yes! That's right! This is a 3D sewer map. Look at this! This is the road I often take. That one...I definitely remember it correctly, I wandered around there for several days..."
"But what's the point? Why would Dr. Connors hide this map? As long as someone wanders around in the sewers for a few days, they should be able to figure out this route, right?"
Peter scratched his head. He continued to look at the pattern, then turned it around, then lowered his head to compare the route he got.
"...No, there seem to be a few wrong roads here. Just like here, you should go down the next step and turn right. Why does it say turn left here? There is no manhole cover here. The place where these routes intersect...the reservoir!"
"Dr. Connors is pointing to the reservoir! But what's there? The laboratory? But..."
Peter thought for a while, quickly put away the map in his hand, and then took his schoolbag. He said: "Jarvis, keep in touch with me at any time! Maybe I will need your technical support later..."
"No problem, Mr. Stark has opened up most of the technical support rights to you."
Peter ran out of Stark Tower quickly with his schoolbag, found the nearest manhole cover and got in. He quickly walked through the sewers and soon came to the reservoir where the laboratory he burned down before was located.
Opening the door of the maintenance station, there were still traces of scorching. Only now did Peter realize that something was wrong. Although this maintenance station looked like an evil laboratory, it was actually just a look. Peter didn't find anything here. Any useful information.
On the contrary, there are specimens of various things, and even some unknown organ specimens. As an expert, Peter knows that in fact, many times biological experiments are not like playing with corpses as ordinary people think. These have been soaked. Specimens that are old are of no use at all.
"My Healing Game"
Now that he knew that this laboratory was the work of Dr. Connors, it became even more strange. Dr. Connors was also an expert. How could he put a bunch of equipment and specimens that were not used in the experiment? Carefully placed here? It's like it's specifically designed to make people think this is a biological laboratory?
Everything here seems to be for the uninitiated, to satisfy their fantasies about some evil scientist.
Peter didn't know that the owner here was Dr. Connors before, and he didn't pay attention to this abnormality. But now when he comes here again, Peter recalls what he saw in the laboratory at that time. Compared with a real biological experiment, Peter didn't know that the owner here was Dr. Connors. The room is more like a carefully arranged stage.
Peter is becoming more and more confused. If this is not the place where Dr. Connors really conducted his experiments, then why on earth would he hide a clue here? What does it mean?
Peter rummaged around here relentlessly, groping for possible secret doors on the walls and floors, but he found nothing.
Peter left the maintenance station with some disappointment. He suddenly discovered that the moss at the door of the maintenance station had also been cleaned, and some white powder was left in the corner. Peter began to think quickly. He remembered that there were some places on the way here. The moss in some places has been cleared away, but in some places it has not.
He ran a few steps forward and saw a corner where there were also traces left. Peter walked along this artificially processed trace and found that on the same road, there was a step going down. There is no such trace on the way forward.
Peter followed the traces of disappearing moss, and finally, these traces led him to the end of the sewer.
There is a maintenance station there too.
The door of this maintenance station is unlocked, and the inside looks like it has been abandoned for a long time. After all, this is the lowest part of the New York sewer, a truly invisible place.
Peter opened the door, and what appeared in front of him was an ordinary maintenance station, with some messy boxes stacked up and cleaning tools that had not been used for a long time. It looked like it was from the last century.
Peter waved his hands in front of his face to disperse the dust. He opened all the boxes and found a box containing an unknown object at the bottom.
Opening the box, there was a device that Peter had never seen before. It was a square black device with an antenna. Peter took out his mobile phone and took a photo, and then called Jarvis. Jarvis soon told him, This seems to be an old data terminal with a signal transmitter. Although the version is older, the power is still good.
"So what's here?" Peter asked.
"You can bring it to Stark Tower and I can physically hack it."
So Peter put the data terminal into his schoolbag and left with it on his back.
