Summary of Volume 2
The second volume is finally finished!
Some people will definitely ask, why did it take five million words to finish the second volume? And the author will say, Batman is responsible!
I really didn't expect him to be so difficult to cure!
Why did I use millions of words to discuss the possibility of curing Batman?
Because I love psychology deeply.
Complaints are over, let's get down to business.
The "leaving the nest" in the second volume refers to both Marvel's Earth leaving the solar system and entering the interstellar stage, and Batman flying out of the nest and having the ability to fly independently.
Some readers may feel that the progress of the two sides is too different, but in fact, judging from Batman's setting, curing him is half the battle.
Next, DC may usher in the first major event, and all the heroes on the Earth that everyone is familiar with will appear, and both the science side and the magic side of the heroes will have wonderful performances.
Just like the many major events at the beginning of Marvel, DC will enter a relatively open grand narrative, and the characters between the multiverses will also collide, and some of the plots that everyone expects will be there.
Marvel will enter a new round of character creation and human nature exploration. It has only touched on the chapters of Amazing People and Fathers and Sons before, but will continue to go deeper.
Marvel's philosophical exploration will be warmer, more detailed, closer to the daily life of ordinary people, and in contrast to the dark, extreme, and in-depth exploration of DC.
This book has been relieving the fatigue of a certain style through two different styles. Previously, Marvel has always been grand and cheerful, while DC has been deep and profound. Starting from the third volume, the positions of the two sides will be reversed.
Schiller and Batman have finally ended the days of torturing each other. Batman and the unique Justice League will show their strengths on a broad stage. A bat flying out of Schiller's palm will bring more shocks to more people.
Marvel's superheroes have generated new sparks of thought and clashed positions through what they have seen, heard, thought, and thought in the process of the earth's development, and the social problems between superheroes and ordinary people will also be discussed in more depth.
Perhaps many people have found that the author rarely asks for data, that's just because I didn't have much confidence in the level of this book before, as I said before, it's just a writing exercise book for me.
But there are really many people who have great expectations for this book, and there are too many reviews that are completely overrated for me, so I can't just let it go under such circumstances and disappoint everyone's expectations. I have to find a way to continue to improve and make this book work towards the level of praise it has already received.
Before that, I just wanted to write a story about the growth of superheroes, which is reflected in the remarks at the end of the first volume.
And in order to reward the support of readers, after the end of the first volume, I decided to show a real society where superheroes exist as much as possible, and turn the people, things, landscapes, humanities, laws, rules, morals, and humanity of this society into words that can bring real reverie as much as possible, so as to create a huge American comic world.
To be honest, as the content becomes longer and longer, the data of the book will definitely decline. This is a rule that can hardly be violated. Even if it seems that there is no change on the surface, the author knows it in his heart. This is also the reason why many online articles end badly.
But even if we put aside the income, the author still has many writing techniques that he has not yet mastered, and there are still many levels that need to be improved. Therefore, the absurd "five million words just finished the second volume" is normal and expected for the author (although the expected number was three million words, but Batman dragged it to five million).
Although there is no outline in the early stage of this book, the fact that the writing direction of the two worlds in the first half and the second half is reversed is a structure that has been conceived when the book was opened.
This can not only relieve the depression and fatigue brought by one style, but also show the different aspects of the two worlds from two directions, so that both worlds can be shaped more completely.
Therefore, you don’t have to worry about the hasty ending of this book. The author still has a lot of room to complete the story line of each person. The main characters that were not emphasized in the first two volumes will be shown in the later stories.
When one side of society has been revealed, many things that are difficult to understand at first glance will become easier to explain, which naturally leaves the author with more writing space.
If the first and second volumes are more about practicing writing techniques, including montage, multi-line narrative, deconstructionism, and orthodox writing, then from the third volume onwards, the author will be more willing to weave novel stories, and many major events in the original work will unfold from a different perspective.
The biggest difference is what kind of butterfly effect will be caused when the characters who have changed in the first two volumes participate in major events. I think this is also what everyone likes to see.
The first two volumes are mostly original major events, with the same people and different events, and people are shaped by events.
From the third volume onwards, people will be different, and events will be shaped by people.
In addition, the emotional lines of all the characters that have not been mentioned for a long time will also be more deeply developed.
Then, inevitably, the narrative will be more inclined to group portraits, but due to the influence of Schiller in the first half, it will mostly be "he is not here, but he is everywhere."
And I will use such great patience to complete the long-term shaping that I have never been involved in, hoping to tell all those who are anxious about mental or practical problems like me:
There is a road in this world where the worst outcome you expect will never come. It is also a road that never ends and is worth pursuing for a lifetime. That is literature.
Respect literature.
