Chapter 162 Storm of Destruction: Lower Deck

The flashing red warning light flashed in the dark space. The cold decks, unknown huge buildings, and piles of supply boxes were illuminated by the shining red lights. As the lights kept crossing their surfaces, the harsh sound of steel friction came from behind the door.

It was the roar of gears and lifting cables. With a dull and steady landing sound, the steel door under the warning red light slowly opened to both sides. The pale cold light shot out from the gap between the doors. As the door was fully opened, it completely illuminated the space outside the door.

The warning light set off the cold white light with red. A man walked out in the incandescent light. He was wearing a black jacket, with a grenade launcher and a chainsaw sword on his waist. The silver patches on his boots clicked with his footsteps.

Vito walked out of the elevator. He stood in the cold white light and looked at everything around him. The dark space was still turbid as if it was covered with a layer of grease, making it completely difficult to see what was inside. Only the general outline was vague within the limit of what the human eye could observe, like a shadow.

The elevator door behind Vito began to close again. As the iron door closed, the pale white light gradually became thinner until it disappeared completely, but before that, Vito had already started to move. He walked forward along the gradually narrowing path of the white light.

Vito looked around the dark space around him. Everything here was shrouded in a layer of turbid darkness. Only the corridor lights that appeared after walking a certain distance could illuminate a little area, and the rest of the space was completely shrouded in darkness.

This place is like the abyss itself, wrapped in darkness all year round, like a corner forgotten by people. This sentence is not too wrong, because this is the bottom deck of the battleship.

The bottom floor means being completely away from the living and working areas of the ship. It is like the narrow streets in the city. They are as old as the city. They existed long before the first brick and the first foundation were built.

But the dark streets are unknown, or people don't want to know them. Parents will use the darkness in the alleys, the malicious villains and monsters to scare their children, so that they will consciously stay away from those corners. This is a self-proving legend, because it is precisely because of this that the mainstream people actively stay away from those corners, fearing that they can't avoid them, but instead make the place full of those prophetic malicious things.

Vito walked on the deck, his iron boots stepped on the ground, clacking, and the echo of his footsteps reverberated between the surrounding containers and forgotten stone pillars, and in those shadows, one shadow after another flashed from the darkness.

Vito glanced away and looked at the turbid darkness. He continued to walk as if nothing had happened. Gradually, the surrounding sounds began to change from ethereal hallucinations to becoming more and more real.

The hissing sound of claws scratching steel and the sound of scales rubbing against walls and boxes rang out one after another. Those sounds became more and more clear, so that they could not be avoided or deceived at all. They were hallucinations and false.

Vito stopped. He stood there with one hand on the butt of the gun. He looked ahead and seemed not to notice the pairs of eyes around him that were looming and seeing those vague figures.

The pair of eyes climbed onto a container. The scarlet blood eyes on the box looked at Vito below. Sticky saliva dripped from its bloody mouth. It slowly lowered its body and approached Vito from above, ready to attack at the edge of the box.

The pairs of eyes around him also arrived at their positions. They looked at Vito like a group of hungry wolves in the cold winter.

The eye on Vito's head launched an attack as the leader of the wolves. It leaped and pounced on Vito, but it was too late. In a flash, Vito pulled out the grenade launcher and aimed at it and pulled the trigger. The explosion instantly lit up the monster's face, illuminating its terrifying and hideous face.

But that face did not exist for too long. The bomb shattered its skull and blew its entire head away. Vito quickly turned around and raised the grenade launcher to fire in the darkness. He turned around and lowered his body to swing the gun and shoot, as if he could see through the darkness.

Another bomb accurately shot and killed a monster that pounced on him. Vito stood up and turned his wrist to fire continuously. The bright fire of the grenade launcher continuously illuminated the surrounding space and the monsters in the darkness.

They had no eyes, only two holes on their smooth faces, a nose without a bridge, and a large mouth that was human-like but not human-like. They came from the darkness like a pack of wolves, running on the ground with their slender limbs bent. There was no hair on the surface of their white skin, as if it was waxed and smooth.

The monsters roared and rushed over, and their voices echoed in the dark space around them, just like waves of three-dimensional echoes that continued to pass. Those sounds kept reflecting and rebounding between the walls and boxes, as if there were monsters everywhere.

But Vito still fired calmly. He pulled out his chainsaw sword and let it roar. The rotating chainsaw cuts spurted out blood as Vito turned around and chopped at the monster behind him. The monster's scarlet blood gushed out from the slices, and the broken skull and flesh and blood were scattered everywhere with the skin.

The surrounding monsters were still attacking. Those monsters with sharp claws and terrible fangs kept appearing from the darkness, rushing towards Vito and trying to tear him apart.

Vito kept turning around in the middle of the corridor with the gunfire. The gunfire that flashed and extinguished at times was like a slide show, cutting the scene of Vito and the monsters into sections.

The roar of the chain saw spread farther and farther in the lower deck, and the light of the gunfire also illuminated the surrounding space. After the intermittent flash of gunfire extinguished again, another pair of scarlet eyes appeared when it lit up again.

The eyes slowly raised a huge bravery, and the gunfire stopped flashing in an instant, because the brighter gunfire completely dispelled the darkness.

The rapid firepower of the grenade gun instantly tore apart the monster that flew up behind Vito. The monster was instantly smashed into shattered debris by the bomb. Vito raised the chain saw sword to block in front of him, as if ready to fight against the three monsters in front of him.

But before Vito could make a move, the gunfire tore them all into pieces. Vito turned his head and looked at the three giants who were coming. The leading giant strode out of the darkness with a bolter in one hand and a chain saw axe in the other. He suddenly chopped a monster that pounced on him with the chain saw axe, and smashed another with the bolter.

Behind him, the giant in white armor fired accurately with a bolter. His superb marksmanship was amazing. His firepower was completely shot from Vito's side. Monsters were hit and fell to the ground one by one, and the exploded debris gushed blood and watered the surrounding ground.

Vito watched the giants coming. After seeing them, the hideous monsters also turned around and fled. Three burly giants walked to Vito's side and bombarded the fleeing monsters with bombs. The bombs were shot from their back spines. The bursting gunfire instantly blew their spines and shattered them into a splatter of flesh and blood.

Bright blue lightning flashed across the dark sky and hit the monsters. The bursting current instantly burned several monsters into pieces. Their bodies collided and shattered, and in an instant they turned into charred charcoal all over the ground.

Vito raised his head and looked at Olaf, who had a long beard beside him. Lightning leaped between the old wolf's fingers, while Bell stepped forward and aimed the explosive gun at the front. His superb marksmanship instantly knocked the monsters to the ground.

Ragnar wielded the chain saw axe to split the monster, which had one hind leg broken and could only crawl on the ground, into two halves. The chain saw axe cut into its back and cut it into two equal halves from the central axis.

The remaining monsters fled into the gaps in the containers and into the darkness of the lower decks.

Vito lowered his gun and looked at the monster that fell to the ground. The light on Bell's helmet lit up the surrounding space. He also looked down at Vito. White light shone on his back, and the shadow extended from his front to cover the hideous monster that fell in front of him.

He poked the dead monster on the ground with his chainsaw sword, looking at the face that was neither human nor human, "Chaos beast? How did they get on the ship?"

"Ah, maybe there was a weak point in Geller's position? Let these subspace bastards jump onto our ship." Ragnar said, looking at the broken monster on the ground. Its lower body had completely disappeared, only the upper body remained, and the end of it was scattered with the remnants of intestines and digestive organs.

"We have been patrolling the lower deck, Vito. There are many abominations hidden here, especially after entering the Eye of Terror, it has become more and more, just like a cockroach nest, it is impossible to kill them all." Olaf said, looking at the darkness around him. Indeed, this place is too big, and many places can be used as hiding places for these beasts and other creatures.

This place is like the hunting ground of Fenris's ice field, full of danger, terror and unknown fear waiting in the darkness.

"Captain Cole has ordered the elevator to be closed. If you can get down here, you must have used the authority of the Inquisitor to start the elevator. Tell me why you are here, my friend." Olaf said and looked at Vito, while Ragnar beside him laughed and carried the chain saw axe.

"It must be too boring! Every time I travel through the warp, I am bored to death. I must come down to hunt for fun!" Ragnar said carelessly, and Vito smiled at his black hair, which was braided in the style of Fenris, hanging on his neck and sliding down from his shoulders.

Vito smiled and inserted the grenade gun into the holster, "I also want to come down to hunt, but I am not here to hunt this time. I am here to ask who of you has seen Lilith?"

"He is not with you?" Bell asked, his expression could not be seen clearly on his helmeted head, and the lighting flashed with the floating of his head.

"Excuse me, Inquisitor, she seems to be always with you." After Bell said that, Ragnar suddenly became interested. He leaned over and looked at Vito and laughed jokingly, "Did you quarrel last night?"

"No, everything was normal, but she disappeared when I opened my eyes in the morning, so I came down to ask you, have any of you three seen her?"

Vito looked at the three giants in front of him, they looked at each other, then Olaf raised his head and looked at Vito and nodded slightly, "We did see her, she went to the Navigator's Temple, and she also took Lancelot with her halfway to "supervise" her work."

"She was not in a good mood this morning, Inquisitor, maybe something happened?" Bell asked, Vito also thought thoughtfully, he frowned and hung the chainsaw sword on his belt.

He turned and walked towards the elevator, "Happy hunting."

"Wish you "Happy hunting" Vito." Ragnar looked at Vito with a smile, "You will need good luck."

Vito waved his hand and walked into the darkness. The three giants looked at each other and shrugged, then turned around with their weapons and walked towards the darkness on the other side to start the next hunt.
