This statement sounds abstract, but it is actually very specific and true.
All things in life should be known to be illusory and unreal, and they become empty at the moment. When you don't have food, you want to eat, when you are full, you want good clothes, and when you have clothes, you want a beautiful wife. After going around in circles, what you want is actually the same, that is, "external things".
In life, people always want to obtain various external things, but the reason why external things are external things is that they will disappear. If you say that you can satisfy other desires with wealth, then all desires will disappear when they are satisfied, just like enjoying delicious food, picking up a chopstick and putting it into your mouth, the tip of your tongue is happy for a while, and after swallowing, it is no longer happy, so you have to pursue the next chopstick.
In this way, one chopstick after another, can't you stop?
Desire is like this.
Then won't you always get nothing in the end? Power is even more indirect, status is indirect, and reputation is still indirect.
People have power, position, and fame, and can have wealth and enjoyment, but in the end, these will still disappear after a long time.
So, it's still empty.
The set of understanding emptiness, such as saying peace and happiness, where is peace and happiness? As soon as you think about it, peace and happiness will become empty at the moment.
For example, saying poverty and humbleness, where is poverty and humbleness? As soon as you think about it, poverty and humbleness will become empty at the moment.
Other successes and failures are all like this.

Low thoughts, ardent desire for dreams, family warmth, encouragement of success, anxiety of failure, happiness, sadness, jealousy, stimulation, anger, sorrow.
I don't know how many of them are the most profound trouble memories of each person. These piled up together are at least hundreds of millions of years of longing, countless people's desires, happiness, and pain, all piled up together.
