Chapter 99: Don't Yell in the Forbidden Forest
The raven soared into the air with a loud cry. Xing Ze also heard the sound coming from the woods, the rustling of leaves in the wind, the snapping of branches being broken, and the faint sound of chanting.
But the most fatal thing was that the spell stopped, and then a bright light shot out from the woods.
Almost at the same time, Ellie jumped up from the ground, the wand appeared in her hand, and an impregnable force was cast in front of her.
The beam hit the barrier, and the scorching energy burned everything along the way, and the smell of burning suddenly filled the surroundings.
Ellie frowned, and the barrier she hastily built was not enough to resist such a strong magic.
"I can't hold on for long!" she shouted.
Xing Ze waved his wand, and a wall of earth rose from the ground, blocking the rays that broke through the barrier.
Hagrid pulled Ellie over with a speed that was disproportionate to his body, and quickly hid to the side, but they were still too slow.
At the critical moment, the raven turned into a traction rope and wrapped around Hagrid and Ellie, taking them out of the range of the ray, and the earth wall collapsed.
Xing Ze jumped to the side swiftly. His strengthened body gave him a strong jumping ability, enough to let him jump out of the most dangerous area.
The explosion sounded behind him, and the impact still made him lose his balance.
That ray, a magical ray as hot and bright as the sun, crossed the open space unstoppably, causing a series of explosions, leaving a hideous charred crack on the ground, and then shot straight into the sky.
Before Xing Ze and his team could catch their breath, several dark shadows attacked from the opposite forest. They were the wizards who tried to break into the restricted area last night.
The magic wands in their hands condensed magic and shot at Xing Ze and his party without reservation.
Ellie Shafik once again proved that she was not in vain as the head of the Defense Against the Dark Arts course. She remained calm in the face of danger and blocked the attack of the two wizards on the other side with her own strength.
Hagrid's situation was worse. When the earth wall collapsed, he used his back to block the flying gravel and mud for the young lady, which enabled Ellie to react so quickly.
The gamekeeper was hit by a magic, but fortunately the half-blood giant's hard skin and slow reaction saved his life.
"Hagrid!" Ellie shouted, waving the wand in her hand faster.
"I'm fine." The half-blood giant replied, and he ran to where his package was, trying to get his umbrella back.
But the opponent obviously wouldn't let him escape so easily, and the next spell came soon.
At the critical moment, another spell shot from his side, and the two spells collided and began to compete with each other.
"Hey, big guy."
Hagrid heard someone calling him, "Look here!" The voice sounded again, and he turned his head to see a blond man in strange clothes.
"Next." The man threw the umbrella in his hand to Hagrid.
The half-blood giant reached out to catch it, roaring and knocking a wizard who tried to sneak attack him to the ground with his umbrella.
"Oh, that must hurt." The blond man laughed.
"Don't be silly there, Lei Ke, come and help, they are getting more and more people."
"Okay, Ms. Yidwen." Lei Ke saluted his companion comically, then drew his wand and joined the battle.
...
Xing Ze jumped to the side, dodged a claw attack, and then turned quickly with one foot as the center of gravity, and the werewolf with a golden mask passed by him.
The werewolf did not lose its balance, twisted its body in mid-air, and attacked again, the speed was incredible.
But his opponent's reaction was not slow either. Xing Ze quickly waved his wand and completed a simple defensive spell. The werewolf's claws easily scratched the spell, but the claws obviously paused.
It was this pause that allowed Xing Ze to dodge the attack again. He clenched his fists and hit the werewolf hard.
The werewolf jumped away swiftly, then hunched up, staring at Xing Ze with its orange eyes alertly.
For wizards who are not good at close combat, werewolves are undoubtedly one of the most terrifying enemies. They often attack from the dark at an incredibly fast speed, and most of the time they catch wizards off guard.
"Why do you ruin our good deeds again and again, messenger!" the werewolf asked in a low voice.
A werewolf who can still maintain his sanity in the form of a beast. Xing Ze was secretly surprised.
"Ah, forget it." The werewolf said again, "As long as you kill you, the problem will naturally disappear."
As soon as he finished speaking, he rushed over again. Xing Ze had no time to cast spells, and he had reason to believe that those instantaneous magics would be easily avoided.
The claws and fangs broke through the air, accompanied by a gust of fishy wind. Xing Ze ducked to avoid it, but the werewolf expected him to do so, and quickly attacked with another claw.
Xing Ze had four more wounds on his back. He took a breath and ran quickly into the forest without paying attention to the pain.
The werewolf fell to the ground due to inertia and rolled several times. Then he quickly adjusted his posture and rushed towards his prey again.
He chased Xing Ze into the foggy woods and had to admit that this young wizard was much more tenacious than he expected.
Using fog to hide his tracks is a smart move, but I can smell your blood.
The werewolf raised his head and sniffed around. After determining the location, he did not rush up blindly, but climbed up a Metasequoia tree.
Xing Ze stopped and looked around. He was not sure whether he could cast a spell. Perhaps when he cast the armor to protect himself, the werewolf would come out of the fog.
He looked around nervously, listening to any slight noise with his ears.
He did hear something, the sound of wind blowing through leaves, the sound of birds spreading their wings. Of course, he also heard heavy breathing and the creaking of heavy objects pressing on branches.
At the moment when the fog rolled, Xing Ze turned quickly, took a step forward, and punched with all his strength.
He felt the needle-like hair, then warm flesh and hard bones.
The werewolf that pounced on him was hit hard and flew away. Xing Ze immediately waved his wand, and a ray followed closely.
He did not stay in place for too long, but ran towards the thickest part of the fog.
The enemy knew little about him, so he did not expect him to have such good hearing, but this method can only be used once, and next time, he will be more careful.
"Come on, you son of a bitch." Xing Ze shouted, "Come on again, I promise to beat the shit out of you this time."
A roar came from his side. The common weakness of these werewolves is irritability.
"If you ask me, your mother must have been fucked by a dog to give birth to you!" Xing Ze shouted again.
The werewolf was getting closer, and the fog was getting closer. Xing Ze was calculating, calculating the distance. He sneered again: "Come on, you son of a bitch, come on!"
The black shadow broke through the fog and pounced on Xing Ze with an angry roar. His claws pressed Xing Ze's head to the ground fiercely.
"Wait until I dig out your heart and liver." The werewolf bowed his head and showed a sinister smile, "I will definitely taste it slowly." He excitedly roared to the sky.
"Has anyone told you not to roar and scream in the forbidden forest?" Xing Ze asked in a low voice.
The next moment, the fog like a tide instantly swallowed the werewolf.
