Chapter 148: Cade's Response

Phil Coulson looked at the treadmill that looked like a torture device and scratched his forehead in confusion. He found that he seemed to be a little behind the times.

Will anyone really buy this design?

He stopped Cade Eagle, who was introducing the prospect of treadmills eloquently: "Sorry, Mr. Eagle, our time is limited, so let's get to the point early."

Cade was still a little unfinished, but he could only lead the two agents into the living room of the villa.

Phil Coulson sat on the sofa, put the portable recorder aside, and looked at the furnishings in the villa. Somewhat unexpectedly, the decoration of the villa is extremely simple, with simple wooden furniture and just a layer of wallpaper on the wall. There is no trace of luxury goods.

Tessa put a plate of cut fruits on the coffee table and sat down. She was full of doubts about Cade's ability to cope with these agents, and was ready to check for any leaks and make up for them.

"Ahem" Phil Coulson cleared his throat: "First of all, we want to know the identities of the two Mexican killers you hired before, Mr. Eagle."

"They were contacted by my boss Clark Kent. He has some special connections in Bolivia and contacted friends in Mexico."

Cade explained.

"I didn't know their identities and when we got back to the farm we separated."

On the way back to the farm from New York City, Eclipse concluded that he might encounter an investigation from S.H.I.E.L.D. He and Professor Connors contacted Alejandro in Bolivia, repeatedly deduced and discussed a relatively flawless response plan.

Phil Coulson observed Cade's expression, which did not reveal any information.

"According to the agent's witness report, Mr. Cade left with the mysterious orc that appeared in New York. What happened after you left the agent?"

"We parted ways not long after we left. To be honest, the three of us were scared to death. We were afraid that they would suddenly attack us. Do you know the origins of those orcs?"

Cade asked rhetorically.

"We are investigating, and I believe we will find something soon."

Phil Coulson's face did not show any emotion, as if this was really just a simple routine investigation.

He then asked a lot about the details of CapitaLand’s trip to New York. Thanks to the advance guidance of interrogation expert Alejandro, Cade's answers were clear and coherent. Even if Phil Coulson inadvertently repeated questions, no flaws were exposed.

He also asked Tessa a few questions, and there was no conflict between their descriptions.

Phil Coulson couldn't help but suspect that Natasha's intuition was wrong. Maybe Cade was just unfortunate enough to be involved in the storm.

A sound of chirping at the side interrupted his thinking. Coulson turned around and saw that the agent he had brought was holding a cut orange and feasting on it, with his mouth full of juice.

He had already eaten most of a plate of cut oranges and grapes.

Feeling the cold gaze of his immediate superior, the agent put down the orange peel in his hand angrily, took out a tissue and wiped his mouth and hands.

"Thank you for your cooperation, Mr. Eagle. I wonder if Mr. Clark Kent is at the farm?"

Phil Coulson asked the final question. S.H.I.E.L.D. has previously sent agents to Bolivia to investigate the details of Clark Kent.

It's just that the chairman of the mining company has passed away, and the children who inherited his inheritance only know that their father had more than ten illegitimate children outside, and he took away a large amount of family property, but they have not seen all the illegitimate children.

The identity that Alejandro arranged for Broly was perfect. OSS was handling affairs in Bolivia during this period. "

Phil Coulson stood up.

"Then I hope Clark Kent will inform us when he arrives in the United States, Mr. Eagle. We have some information that we need to know from him."

Cade shook hands with him:

"I need to get the boss's permission first."

A harmless smile appeared on Phil Colson's face:

"Of course, no problem at all."

He took the large bag of oranges that Tessa handed him and held it in his hand.

Cade led the two people out of the villa and prepared to send them to the farm gate. Phil Colson put the orange in his hand into the car and was about to get in the car. Out of the corner of his eye, he suddenly spotted a colorful tiger lying in the grass, with a pair of wild beast eyes staring at them.

Although he couldn't see the tiger's whole body clearly, Cade was very sure that he had never seen a tiger bigger than it before. The fur is smooth, the muscles are layered, and the two thick forearms can almost kill someone with one palm.

He was so frightened that he hurriedly pulled out the pistol from the holster under his arm.

"Ouch!"

The tiger sensed his hostility and jumped up from the grass, like a yellow phantom, rushing toward Phil Coulson.

A wild killing breath coming from the wilderness hit his face, and even Phil Coulson, who had experienced many battles, felt his heart tremble.

"Don't shoot! Don't shoot!"

Cade hurriedly stopped two agents who tried to shoot, and then stood in front of the charging tiger.

"Bang!"

The tiger threw him to the ground, opened its bloody mouth, and licked Cade's face fiercely.

"Okay, okay, Katie, they mean no harm."

Cade struggled to break free from the tiger's embrace. He had clearly driven all the beasts into the woods in the corner of the farm.

Fortunately, he was responsible for raising almost all the beasts, and Katie was already familiar with his smell, otherwise the situation would be bad.

Katie and Gulu often accompanied Kakarot in training, and their strength had exceeded the limit of their kind. Cade didn't think that he could stop it with just two pistols.

If two SHIELD agents were bitten to death by Katie on the farm, he really couldn't wash himself clean even if he jumped into the Yellow River.

At close range, Phil Coulson found that the tiger was bigger than he expected, and was not much smaller than an adult bull. The extremely smooth body contained explosive power.

"This is the pet that Boss keeps on the farm, and it's a little naughty."

Cade rubbed Katie's fluffy head.

Phil Coulson put the pistol back into the holster, and until now, his heartbeat has not calmed down.

"Then your boss's hobbies are really special."

In the United States, it is legal to privately raise tigers, and the number of captive tigers even exceeds the total number of wild tigers in the world. However, these captive tigers are usually not in good condition due to their limited range of activities, and there is also a serious problem of inbreeding.

This tiger is in surprisingly good condition, and its wildness is even better than those of its wild counterparts.
