She carried Ruan Jiaojiao to the kitchen, coaxed her to sit on a small stool, and went back to work.

Nowadays, two pots of different sizes are popular on the stoves in rural areas. In the large pot, Ruan Lin was frying a plate of green vegetables, and in the small pot, she was cooking a pot of sweet potatoes with a few grains of rice. This was the family's meal today. There was a porcelain bowl on the top, which contained fine white rice cooked in minced meat soup, which was specially for Ruan Jiaojiao.

Ruan Lin was amused by her cute look and stepped forward to kiss her before reaching out to take the meat soup rice in the pot.

She was thick-skinned and was not afraid of being burned by hand, but she was afraid that her cute Jiaojiao would be burned. She shouted Lei Zi and saw a fat boy of eight or nine years old running in.

"Feed your sister, don't burn her, okay?" Ruan Lin walked into the yard with the bowl in her hand while admonishing.

"Grandma, I know." The fat boy followed behind and answered obediently. He was the youngest son of Ruan Lin's third son. He was only eight years old this year and liked this younger and more delicate little sister the most.

"Don't eat secretly." Ruan Linshi never hid her partiality. She was afraid that the little fat boy would be greedy, so she put the bowl on the bench and warned him seriously again.

The little fat boy swallowed his saliva when he smelled the meat, and nodded obediently. He knew that his sister was in poor health and needed delicious food to supplement. Although he wanted to eat, he would never steal his sister's food.

After repeated warnings, Ruan Linshi touched Ruan Jiaojiao's little head, looked back every three steps, and walked to the kitchen reluctantly.

When the little fat boy saw that his grandmother was not there, he relaxed and smiled at Ruan Jiaojiao in a flattering way. Then he picked up the spoon and scooped a spoonful of meat soup rice. The meat foam was mixed with white rice, which was extremely fragrant. He wanted to help his sister blow it, but when he blew it, the fragrance went straight into his mouth. She looked at the greedy little fat man in front of her who kept swallowing his saliva. Just when she was about to give him the rest of the saliva out of mercy, she heard a noise from outside.

Before she could react, two figures, one big and one small, rushed in like a whirlwind, accompanied by a woman's sharp scolding: "You damned little bastard, you dare to hide, I think you want to die, get out of here!"
