Chapter 1134 Film Review Wave (Part 2)

《Random Notes, Talking About the Original Work (Mainly About Su Qi)》

[Ticket Stub.jpg]

Thanks for the invitation. I just came out of the cinema. Generally speaking, "Daytime Rain" is a good work, but it is not a commercial film after all, so I don't recommend following the trend to watch it.

A major feature of this movie is that those who like to watch the first half are basically psychologically and physically uncomfortable with the second half, and those who look forward to the second half almost find the first half boring. So my personal opinion is that if you are not afraid of spoilers, you can search for movie reviews first, so as not to have a psychological gap and feel that the ticket price is not worth it.

To say something else, I have read the original novel before, and I felt a little familiar when I learned that it would be adapted into a movie of the same name. But it's a pity that the movie adjusted the core narrative theme, and the role of Su Qi, who impressed me the most, was repeatedly compressed (the original book used one chapter to tell her story alone, and another chapter to talk about the development of Su Qi and Cao Hao's relationship). It's a bit regrettable just from this point of view. Of course, the portrayal of Mo Sen and Tian Gang is very successful. For the overall framework of the plot, it is understandable that Su Qi and other supporting characters have few appearances.

Note: The following content does not appear in the film, but I personally feel that it is still a spoiler, please read it at your discretion.

In the original novel, although Su Qi's family background is very good, her original family is not happy. Her parents met through a blind date and had no emotional foundation. They got married only because the two had suitable conditions in all aspects, and the main point was a good match. When Su Qi was five years old, her mother felt that she had fulfilled her obligations as a wife to marry, have children, and raise children, so she began to cheat on her husband indiscriminately, and later she ran away with her true love without saying a word and filed for divorce from her husband remotely.

This incident made Su Qi's father, who was traditional in thinking, a laughing stock among relatives and lost face. From then on, he was left with a strong psychological shadow, and this shadow was directly transferred to his daughter Su Qi after the divorce, causing Su Qi to live in an extremely repressive environment since she could remember.

Under her father's overcorrection education and constraints, all of Su Qi's pursuit of beauty and freedom was curbed. She must be a girl who abides by the rules, cannot pay attention to her appearance, cannot try to put on makeup, study her outfit, and cannot "show off in public", otherwise her furious father will scold her for being like her mother, a "slut who only seduces others".

When she was a student, Su Qi went to an aristocratic college, but her excellent family background, excellent grades and appearance that did not match these made her suffer from ridicule and ridicule, and her personal self-esteem and self-confidence were repeatedly hit.

After graduation, Su Qi, who entered the company to work, still lacked confidence, was always timid, and wanted to reduce her sense of existence again and again, and eliminate all gazes. In addition, she always kept the maximum social distance with others, especially men, and did not have any private interactions.

Su Qi tried so hard to suppress her nature just to avoid becoming a "disrespectful girl" in her father's mouth.

When reading the original work, I felt that Su Qi and Qiu Xue were a control group. One was suppressed in the traditional sense, and the other was suppressed too much and rebounded.

Again, it's a pity that Su Qi has too few scenes. All the background stories of the above characters are only reflected in the movie by "conservative and rustic makeup" and "flashbacks of memories of buying clothes in the mall". The deletion is too much, so that the audience who have not read the original work is probably a little confused.

In addition, I regret that the relationship between Su Qi and her father has also been deleted. There is basically nothing left. Su's father is a very complicated person. He has both empathetic hatred and real love for his daughter.

Su Qi is a standard middle-class child, with a high level of education and a living standard far higher than her peers. Although her father can't stand her face that is somewhat similar to her mother, he often criticizes and insults her verbally, but he has never treated her harshly in terms of material conditions. All these make Su Qi's impression of her father very complicated, fearful and trusting.

I remember that when I watched the original work, there was a plot that was quite touching.

At that time, Su Qi and Cao Hao had feelings for each other. Su Qi confided in Cao Hao that she was worried that her father would not approve of their relationship. Cao Hao, who knew that it was difficult to please his father-in-law, had no skills to please him. He would only work hard and clumsily to make himself a man worthy of Su Qi as soon as possible.

Cao Hao's efforts were seen by Su Qi's father. He was very angry at first, but later he took the initiative to promote Cao Hao, promoted him, gave him important work, and gradually let him get involved in the company's core projects.

From the private conversation between Su's father and Cao Hao, it can be seen that he hopes his daughter can have a good home and a happy marriage, and does not want to see her repeat the mistakes of their generation.

It can be seen that Su's father loves Su Qi, but the hatred for his ex-wife mixed in his love makes the family relationship between him and Su Qi complicated.

However, in the movie, this touching father-daughter relationship can only be glimpsed from Su Qi's lines in the car.

("And even if the truth is revealed, we still have my dad. Although he doesn't like me, he will definitely help keep it secret to avoid shame for the family...")

I'd like to recommend the original novel here. The novel is available in electronic version, and it's worth reading. By the way, I'd like to say something very hellish. It's precisely because the story of Su Qi and Cao Hao is written very well in the beginning that the plot of them being killed by Mo Sen later seems absurd and terrifying # Sweat, the feeling that the life of a normal person is messed up by an alien and even completely collapsed is really creepy.

By the way, I would like to say here, Moshen, Moshen, how many people's lives have been ruined by you!

...But the instigator He Ye died well. Although a more positive speech should suggest that Moshen resort to legal punishment for He Ye, it must be admitted that killing He Ye is indeed a relief. Alas, it can only be said that fate plays tricks on people. There must be something hateful about pitiful people, and there must be something pitiful about hateful people. People and life are really complicated.

Speaking of this, in the movie, when Cao Hao wanted to surrender, Su Qi suddenly said "Kill him", which is also a highlight of the plot that reflects human nature.

In the scene I watched, when Su Qi suddenly said this, many viewers around were stunned. I didn't expect that this timid girl was so brave.

Indeed, neither Tian Gang nor Cao Hao had ever thought of "counter-killing" Moshen before (I won't mention Wang Dali, he is more funny...), but Su Qi said something shocking.

In fact, if you think about it carefully, the logic behind this is very smooth. Because in the whole story of "Daytime Rain", Su Qi is the only exception. She is the only one who really grew up in the upper-middle class, which is different from all the other characters.

Family is Su Qi's nightmare, but also her "confidence".

Su Qi is not a small person struggling to survive at the bottom of society. Even if she is rustic and timid, she is still the daughter of a company executive.

Such Su Qi's values are completely different from those of Tian Gang and his group. Her wealthy family background and powerful father naturally make her think about problems beyond the law and justice. Just the idea of "we can kill Mossen" shows the power of her and the rich class she represents, and also confirms what Mossen said to Tian Gang:

"How can a person with nothing climb out of the gutter? Look at the environment you live in and the environment of those rich and powerful people. It is completely different."

In addition to the apparent "love brain plot", Su Qi's protection of Cao Hao and contempt for Mossen are also supported by the confidence from her family. Although the movie briefly describes Su Qi's childhood and growth process, the dialogue in which Su Qi persuades (or instigates) Cao Hao to kill is relatively complete, which invisibly reflects the condescending perspective of the upper class on the lower class.

Speaking of this, I seem to see that some people sympathize with Cao Hao, because Cao Hao was first a victim of school bullying, and then a victim of threats and extortion by Mo Sen. The only time he took the initiative to harm others was when Su Qi persuaded him to kill Mo Sen. In this way, Cao Hao seems to be a justice enforcer.

But is it really so?

At the beginning, Mo Sen was also unable to bear the humiliation and chose to kill He Ye, thus embarking on a twisted path. Although Su Qi's speech was out of self-protection, she believed that "as long as Mo Sen was killed, she could return to her original peaceful life", but this idea was essentially because she knew very well that for people like them who have a certain social status, it is more than enough to make Mo Sen, an unemployed vagrant, disappear from the world, and even if the matter is exposed, someone will cover it for them.

Cao Hao, who was persuaded by Su Qi, strictly speaking, also accepted his fiancée's thinking that "the upper class does not treat the lower class as human beings". Even if the plot shows that Cao Hao was "forced" and "moved by Su Qi's unprincipled and affectionate retention", this is not a reason to whitewash him.

In addition, although Cao Hao's embezzlement of public funds did not directly harm anyone, it was a foregone conclusion that he had violated the law. Like Mossen, "having difficulties" cannot wash away everything.

Moreover, who can guarantee that after Cao Hao and Su Qi really killed Mossen, the accomplices will not do more evil because of their love that goes beyond the law and morality? Mossen's example is already in front, and I can't say for Cao Hao and Su Qi, the couple.

Of course, I said these not to label these people as "good guys" and "bad guys". The black-and-white binary theory is not suitable for "Daytime Rain". Everyone in it is very complicated.

I flipped to the top and took a look. I didn't expect that the film review and chat that came up on a whim could say so much without realizing it. Finally, I'd like to complain. The plot in the movie where Cao Hao and Su Qi went back to do it themselves was a bit too taken for granted. If I remember correctly from the original novel, it was probably:

Mosen was very urgent on the phone. Cao Hao was trying to evade him while contacting the gangsters and paying them to restrain Mosen. He planned to tie Mosen up in his car and repeat the murder and burial in the woods that year.

Then, Cao Hao asked Mosen to come out and meet him. Mosen was surrounded by the gangsters. Cao Hao and Su Qi's counter-killing plan almost succeeded (almost ended the whole play # laughing and crying). As a result, Mosen's desire to survive exploded too fiercely. The gangsters only planned to take the money to kidnap people, but they didn't expect Mosen to really kill people. Two of the six or seven people died, one was seriously injured, and the rest all ran away.

Then Mosen picked up the phone that fell on the ground and sent a message to Cao Hao. He copied the gangsters and pretended that the gangsters had asked Cao Hao to come over, and then attacked Cao Hao in the dark. Cao Hao fell to the ground and twitched, and asked Su Qi to drive away quickly. Su Qi was too scared and panicked to start the car in time, and was killed by Mossen who caught up with her in the car.

Finally, Mossen dragged all the bodies to the vicinity of the car, set the fuel tank on fire, and the car exploded.

As for Mossen's later departure from his residence, in the original work, he ran away in advance because he heard neighbors talking about the possibility of police coming to investigate, instead of killing Cao Hao and Su Qi directly in the house and burning the house to destroy the bodies as in the movie.

Personally, I think the logic of this part in the original novel is more coherent, and the film adaptation makes Cao Hao and Su Qi look too stupid, especially Su Qi, who couldn't tear the tape in an emergency, which was really frustrating.

Although I understand that this can show that Su Qi can say to kill Mo Sen, she is still an ordinary person who has no experience in fighting and killing. She is just a little more pampered than others. It highlights that Su Qi cannot jump out of the category of normal people and intensifies the portrayal of Mo Sen's "abnormality", but I still want to complain... This is too obvious to send a head!

(I stopped to eat when typing here. I feel that I have new ideas and add some more)

Now think about it calmly, the above-mentioned segment is not without advantages. The parallel editing of Mo Sen's torture and killing of Su Qi and Tian Gang Qiu Xue's bed scene in the movie is indeed very tense, and the various comparisons are very ironic. This is a highlight that the original text does not have. If it is to pave the way for this shot, it was adapted into Cao Hao and Su Qi attacking Mo Sen personally, well, okay, it is not unacceptable.

A few characters are reduced in intelligence in exchange for a classic movie scene, not only not a loss, but a blood profit. From this point of view, Director He and the screenwriter obviously consider more than we, the audience, think, so I still accept it.

Finally, let me write a few concluding remarks. The flaws of "Daytime Rain" are not enough to overshadow its merits. Although I have been talking about Su Qi and Cao Hao from beginning to end, in fact, it is also because everyone can see how strong the characterization of Mo Sen and the performance of actor Qin Jue are, so there is no need to specifically point them out for analysis and praise.

In short, this movie and Qin Jue can win the "Four Special" awards. I believe that every audience who walked out of the cinema understands the reason.

Congratulations to "Daytime Rain" for winning the award again! Looking forward to the next internationally renowned Longzhou work!

"Onlooker, self-protection or accomplice?"

Dear movie fans, I am writing to you.

It has been a long time since I watched a dark and depressing work in its entirety. If I remember correctly, "Daytime Rain" is the first one in the past two years.

Before typing this article, my wife and I had a rather heated debate. We disagreed in unexpected places, and the focus of the dispute was the nature of the ending.

My wife and Mr. Fang Muquan share the same idea, believing that the ending of "Daytime Rain" is reconciliation and redemption. Tian Gang and Qiu Xue return to ordinary life, and Mo Sen loses his memory, paying the price for his crime while also gaining a new life.

However, I pessimistically feel that the matter has not been resolved, because the key factor that led to "everything ended" was the car accident. What a lazy design, it was abrupt and forced, directly erasing Mo Sen's sins like the hand of God.

Indeed, Mo Sen was brought to justice, but what does this mean? School bullying has not been curbed. One He Ye has been retaliated, and there are many "He Ye" on campus. One Tian Gang has experienced the evil consequences of being a bystander, but there are more "Tian Gangs" who are still silent, being indifferent spectators in one school violence incident after another.

Therefore, I firmly believe that "Daytime Rain" is a dark and depressing movie, and it is absolutely BE.

After being stubborn, I tried to think of a more "perfect" ending, but I felt that the movie was cruel and ruthless. Its beginning was the end of Mossen's school days. People could not change the established facts. The nodes that could affect Mossen's life trajectory had all passed, and there was no possibility of salvation.

So I sighed and helplessly imagined a cool trend, that is, from the first time Mossen was bullied by He Ye, Tian Gang or another classmate bravely stood up, stood on Mossen's side, and firmly said "no" to school bullying.

Unfortunately, such an idealized story can only exist in imagination after all.

I have thought more than once about what would happen if Tian Gang did not stand idly by and if someone supported Mossen at that time. Because according to surveys, in the face of high pressure, the more social support (including family and friends) an individual gets, the higher his or her sense of self-worth, the stronger his or her psychological endurance, and the lower the probability of a tragic ending.

To put it bluntly, this is an empathy effect.

For example, after you move to a new home, you find that your neighbors are very noisy, which affects your rest. You are angry and sad, and you confide your troubles to your family/friends.

At this time, if their reaction is "It's nothing, are you too hypocritical/sensitive?", "Just bear with it, everyone suffers when they are outside", you will definitely feel more wronged, because not only did you not get the spiritual support you wanted, but you were further suppressed by the people you care about.

But if their reaction is to feel sorry for you, stand up for you, and even want to find neighbors or property management to argue more actively than you, then at this time, your mood will first be much better, and secondly, your tolerance and tolerance for neighbors will also be enhanced, because you have already received the support you need, and the spiritual energy from relatives or friends has made up for part of the mental trauma you have suffered.

The same principle is also true in school bullying incidents.

I believe that if there was still someone standing on Mossen's side at that time, the possibility of him taking an extreme path would be greatly reduced.

[Additional content: Speaking of which, this is also a pity for me, because the purple-clothed prostitute could have been this person, but she showed up too late and was powerless to save the situation. This gentle purple light could only be suppressed in Mossen's heart. ]

At this time, we have to mention one person - Tian Gang.

His cold-eyed observation and betrayal made him a very important snowflake, which eventually caused the disillusionment and collapse of Mossen's personality.

If Tian Gang could stay with Mossen at that time, even if he did not provide substantial help, but just said a few words of concern and gave Mossen a little care, perhaps things would have turned around.

But, so far, my attitude towards Tian Gang is regret, not condemnation.

Because in the movie, Tian Gang has a sentence that I still remember.

He told Qiu Xue that he had secretly begged He Ye to stop bullying Mo Sen. However, He Ye's reply was:

"If I don't bully him, will I bully you?"

So Tian Gang had nothing to say, acquiesced to He Ye's bullying of Mo Sen, and chose to follow the crowd and follow the crowd, and quietly stayed away from Mo Sen like other classmates.

Too many viewers were indignant about this, but my first feeling when watching the movie was sadness.

He Ye's rhetorical question was very fatal. For Tian Gang, what he did was not a kind of self-protection.

Although his self-protection was obtained by pushing Mo Sen into the fire pit.

It is self-protection, but also an accomplice and accomplice.

We are angry, but at the same time we have to admit that such a situation of "not caring about it" is very common. To be frank, if we encounter similar things, I don't know how many people will remain silent like Tian Gang.

After all, it is better to have less trouble than more, and no one wants to get into big trouble.

[Additional content: Thanks to x-on:Xiao Han, who loves movies, for his comments. In the short film "Empty Monument" in the first half of this year, there was also a plot in which the student who was asked for help by the police inspector did not want to cause trouble, so he destroyed the evidence of the report and pretended that the incident did not exist, which indirectly led to the real criminal escaping and the innocent boy (played by Qin Jue) being imprisoned. At that time, many viewers strongly condemned the student character in the short film, and even implicated the actor himself. Now history repeats itself. ]

I can only say that if there were a lot of enthusiastic and brave people in the world, "being brave to do what is right" would not be a prominent deed.

After realizing this, I felt even more heavy-hearted.

Because whether it is condemnation or appeal, the effect that can be played is very weak. Bystanders and spectators, their scope is extremely wide. Tian Gang, who was directly involved in the incident, was watching, and other classmates in the class were watching. What about the teacher? What about the classmates in the next class? What about the principal? What about other parents who heard from their children that a certain student was bullied?

If we talk about bystanders, there are too many people watching.

So who should we hold accountable?

Just like cyber violence, if we want to hold someone accountable, we can't hold any specific person accountable.

However, when all the speeches and actions are added together, it is like a landslide for people like Mossen.

I feel very, very, very powerless.

I'm sorry that this article does not provide you with valuable information, or even spread "positive energy". However, reality is sometimes so heavy and complicated that it is difficult to start.

I know that my words at this moment read very pale, but even so, I want to make a weak call - rather than an appeal, it is a personal extravagant hope - I hope that the relevant laws can be improved, I hope that the school and parents can intervene in time, I hope that publicity and education can be more in place, and I hope that more bystanders will no longer be just spectators, and can offer a little help to the bullied who are in trouble on the premise of protecting themselves.

I hope that there will be no more school bullying in the world.

《Live, use our own philosophy of life - take Wang Dali as an example to talk about the adjustment of mentality》

First of all, I admit that I am a title party, hahahahahaha, the content of this review is not so academic, I just want to pretend to be serious in the title # Dog head

Let's get to the point. It is said that the essence of "Daytime Rain" is all in the second half, and the first half is very boring. Hey, you know what, I am the weird audience who thinks the first half is not bad.

Wang Dali is a very interesting person. Usually, the comedy characters in domestic movies will set a reversal to tell you that the core of this comedy character is tragedy. This person also has times of depression and collapse, expressing the irony of making fun of suffering and forcing a smile.

But Wang Dali is different. His more outstanding point is that his funny and absurd are consistent. Because there is no reversal before and after, it seems very pure. In simple terms, the character setting is not broken.

After watching the whole movie, I feel that everyone in it has something annoying, but Wang Dali is the only character that the audience can accept well.

Like him, but it's not necessary; hate him, it feels too serious, not to the point; put yourself in his shoes, it's too detached from reality, can't be put in.

In this way, the audience can look at Wang Dali more objectively and enjoy his funny scenes with a relatively relaxed attitude. Whenever Wang Dali plays, everyone will not feel heavy-hearted and have no burden of conscience.

It's quite amazing to think about it carefully.

Wang Dali has his own way of living. Although his living standard is so-so and his future career is also predictable, he lives much more openly and happily than Tian Gang.

At the beginning, Wang Dali said several "famous sayings", all of which seem to be bluffing at first, but are really quite thorough when you think about it seriously.

For example, "Those who know they are bugs but still want to keep their self-esteem are the most likely to feel pain", "Either stand or lie down, kneeling and lying down is uncomfortable and has no dignity", etc. I can't remember the original words, but the meaning is almost the same.

If you just look at the text, you will feel that what Wang Dali said is a bit harsh, a bit extreme, and seems to be mocking. However, those who have seen the movie know that his attitude is actually very calm, and he is in a state of "letting go".

I feel that this kind of mentality is particularly rare.

Most of us are anxious when we live in the world. Why are we anxious? Because we are unsatisfied. There are many kinds of "desires" here, such as appetite, material desire, desire for that aspect, etc.

There are many desires, but we don't have enough money and ability to achieve them, but we can't control our desires. As a result, we are always unsatisfied, always greedy, and want more, so we are never satisfied and live completely unhappy.

In comparison, it is better to learn from Wang Dali.

Accepting reality does not mean lying down and giving up. It can also be a different attitude to face the existing life and find the meaning of life from it.

By the way, I looked through the comments section. It seems that Wang Dali's conspiracy theory is very popular. I don't know who is leading the strange rhythm.

Personally, I think there is no need to think that Wang Dali is very complicated. He has a character arc, but not much, and the logic is also easy to understand.

From the beginning to the end, Wang Dali likes Qiu Xue, and finds out that Qiu Xue likes her colleague Tian Gang, so his mentality collapses, skips work and drinks bitter wine at home.jpg He also bought an electric saw to scare people, and was persuaded by Tian Gang to come back. Later, Tian Gang confessed to him that he had been dating Qiu Xue, and his mentality collapsed again.

But even so, when Wang Dali met Mo Sen, his first reaction was to teach this stalker who caused trouble to Xiao Xue a lesson, and told him not to entangle Qiu Xue anymore, and then he was shot in the balls by Mo Sen, and his mentality returned to the original Buddhist, choosing the latter between fruitless love and friendship. I sincerely wish Tian Gang and Qiu Xue can live a good life.

Some people say that the part where Wang Dali used the electric saw was very scary, but I feel that it was purely a funny part.

Or if we analyze it more seriously, if Wang Dali really hated Tian Gang, he could have killed Tian Gang, but he didn't. He just put a chainsaw at home, and then stayed at home drinking and making trouble, which shows that he only thought about "killing Tian Gang" and would not really do it. At best, he just wanted to scare Tian Gang.

As for the later part when he told Tian Gang in the hospital that he regretted breaking up with him, I think it should not be as some viewers speculated, "If he had not broken up, he could have told Mo Sen Tian Gang's address and escaped." From my personal point of view, I still think that Wang Dali really regretted breaking up with Tian Gang because of Qiu Xue.

After all, he probably knew that Qiu Xue was unlikely to be with him. Although it was quite surprising to date Tian Gang, it was Qiu Xue's own choice, a matter of mutual consent, and there was nothing wrong with respecting and blessing.

Being able to figure this out also shows that Wang Dali is becoming more and more transparent. How to say it, if the previous part is "thinking it through", the latter part has a feeling of "looking at it lightly". Come to think of it, anyone who meets a weirdo like Mossen and has a near-death experience will probably feel like Wang Dali, "Forget it, even if my life goals have been shattered, at least I'm still alive, so I should be content."

Finally, I'll send you an emoticon package, hoping that everyone can get over it soon and reduce anxiety~
