Chapter 188: The Death of Professor Binns

Rove walked out of his office and walked down the corridor towards the Ravenclaw common room.

He was about to go to Cassandra and ask her to help him divine the location of the key Ravenclaw left, but after walking a few steps, he stopped again.

Rove suddenly remembered Professor Binns.

Professor Binns once told Helena that her mother was killed by other wizards during a fight with others.

Rove had asked about this in class before. Professor Binns said that a student told him, but it was so long ago that he could not remember who that person was.

Luofu didn't ask any more questions at that time. After all, no matter which student he was, he had been dead for a thousand years and his bones had turned into slag. There was no need to delve deeper.

But it is different now. Just a thousand years ago, Rove was able to investigate this matter and see if the student who informed Professor Binns of the information was related to Slytherin.

With this thought in mind, the young man immediately turned around and walked quickly towards the teachers' lounge. When he reached the door, he looked into the room.

Professor Binns was the only one in the room. He was sitting on a soft chair by the fireplace, his head bowed and his eyes closed.

Luofu knocked on the door lightly and saw that Professor Binns did not move, as if he was asleep. He was about to turn around and leave when Professor Binns suddenly opened his eyes.

The old man raised his head, looked at the young man at the door with cloudy eyes, and said in a hoarse voice:

"Scadi...is something wrong?"

"Professor Binns, I'm sorry to wake you up. I want to ask you some questions." Rolf asked apologetically: "Is it convenient for you now?"

Professor Binns moved his old body in his seat, nodded and said, "Well, come in."

Luofu walked into the room. He hesitated and said with concern:

"Professor, my matter is not too urgent. I see that you have just fallen asleep. Why don't you help you back to the office to sleep for a while?"

"No need." Professor Binns rubbed his eyes and replied: "I was just taking a nap. The older I get, the more this happens... When I go back to bed, I can't fall asleep."

Professor Binns is indeed very old. His skin is as thin as parchment. A few strands of white hair hang down on both sides of his bald forehead. The corners of his eyes are wrinkled and the skin on his chin is sagging.

Luofu walked to the fireplace, picked up the teapot, and poured a cup of tea for himself and Professor Binns.

Binns moved his butt, took the thin porcelain cup, took a slow sip of tea, and said:

"Scadi, what do you want from me?"

"Professor Salazar Slytherin, do you remember him?"

"Slytherin? Of course I remember!" Professor Binns showed a disgusted expression and snorted: "

"Son, what I say next may make you unhappy."

"Slytherin is a grumpy, sharp-tongued and arrogant guy. He has always looked down on Muggle-born students and refused to teach them magic..."

"Slytherin later seemed to want to ask the Ravenclaw professor for something, but was refused... Gryffindor had a fight with him, and then he left the school."

"I'd say it's better for Slytherin to leave than to never come back again..."

The old man complained about Slytherin's past, but he basically had no good words.

In Rolf's mind, Slytherin's self-portrait quickly emerged, which was the combination of Snape and Voldemort.

"Oh, Skadi, you didn't come to listen to me talk about the bad history of Slytherin." Professor Binns said in an old voice:

"Please bear with me as an old man, so what exactly do you want to know?"

"I want to know..." Luofu sipped his tea politely and said, "Are there any students in this school who are very close to Slytherin?"

Professor Binns thought for a while and said: "Barrow is in seventh grade, but I haven't seen him recently. Besides, there is another student..."

Luofu quickly asked: "Who is it?"

Professor Binns stared at Rolf with his pale eyes and said:

"you!"

"Me?" Luo Fu's face was full of astonishment.

"Yes." Professor Binns nodded and said: "I heard that the students said that you have a cliché. You and Slytherin must be related by blood. Aren't you his son?"

"..."

At this moment, the deafening bell suddenly rang, the bell was deep and loud, and the slow and long aftertone filled the room, sad like an elegy.

"This is the assembly bell...call all teachers and students to go to the auditorium immediately." Professor Binns narrowed his eyes suspiciously:

"It only sounds when something big happens. What happened?"

Rolf didn't speak. He was afraid that suddenly hearing the news of Ravenclaw's death would make Professor Binns unbearable.

But the old man had already stood up tremblingly. He hunched over and walked to the door, hearing the noise outside.

Someone shouted: "Go to the auditorium quickly...Professor Ravenclaw has passed away..."

The students rushed to the auditorium desperately, some crying, some staggering, their pale faces full of fear and sadness.

Professor Binns walked out of the room, stopped a student by his collar, and asked: "Who are you talking about...who died?"

"Professor Ravenclaw passed away." The student sobbed and replied:

"Professor Binns, Professor Ravenclaw's body is in the Great Hall. Professor Hufflepuff said she was seriously ill and passed away..."

After the student ran away, the old man hunched over and walked back to the room. His face was pale and he murmured:

"Serious illness? I saw Professor Ravenclaw a few days ago. How could he be seriously ill? There must be something fishy about this!"

Professor Binns suddenly looked at Rove and said, "Skadi, I have never seen you before. Not long after you appeared, Professor Ravenclaw died..."

"Professor, you don't think it was me, do you?" Rove was speechless.

"But you can speak in a snake-like tone, so it must be related to Slytherin. Is this done by Slytherin?"

"..."

"It must be Slytherin! He killed Professor Ravenclaw!"

Professor Binns became more and more determined in his thoughts. He felt a little dizzy, and his heart was beating wildly in his chest. He held the chair and panted:

"Skadi... take me to the hall...Skadi...Skadi!"

Just as Rove was about to hold Professor Binns, the old man's face turned red and he suddenly collapsed on the chair.

Rove was so scared that he quickly released the Patronus to notify Hufflepuff and then gave Professor Binns artificial first aid.

He tried hard to recall the methods and steps of first aid for heart disease in his mind, put his palm on the middle of Bins' chest, and pressed his other hand on this hand, pressing vertically downward.

But Professor Bins' heart had stopped beating.

A few minutes later, a pearly white, translucent ghost suddenly appeared.

Ghost Bins stared at Rove, as if trying to remember the boy's appearance firmly. He made a hoarse sound:

"Skadi...Skadi..."
