Chapter Six Hundred and Ninety Seventh: Difficulties
"Dark energy that is good at destruction."
The energy intensity was not lower than that of the late stage of the second order. Rock didn't take it seriously, and randomly slashed three swords at the magic bullet. The two sides collided and canceled each other out, and the ablation was just right, without touching more enchantments.
"So, you can only follow the opponent's rhythm?"
"That's it for now."
"It's too embarrassing."
Hearing Deborah's answer, Rock shook his head slightly, the situation was a bit pessimistic.
The two continued to move forward. Rock looked at the Red Armored Beast calmly and heard its voice. For it, these barriers were nothing but good news.
But don't worry, because the enemy is very cunning.
"Retreat, I'll handle it."
Half an hour later, the two suddenly encountered a toxin trap, and Deborah stepped forward to solve the trouble with ease.
In their previous explorations, they did not find nothing, and accumulated a lot of countermeasures.
After a period of time, Rock discovered that this place was indeed a labyrinth city, because they had already detoured an unknown number of ways, going back and forth in a detour.
On the way, the two experienced many traps, and they were easily resolved with Deborah's reminder.
Time passed by, and the enemy didn't even touch the slightest shadow. The other party didn't intend to show up, and the two had nothing to do.
"Boom boom."
When the evening approached, the city trembled at a certain moment, and the whole city seemed to wake up, and the surrounding walls and buildings began to move.
According to Deborah, this is a normal phenomenon, and it should be a rule that the ruins themselves have. Because the city is too complex, huge, and unpredictable, I haven't figured out the rules for the time being.
"Come up, just stand still and don't move, it's easy to get lost if you run around."
Under her call, the two stood on the same boulder, allowing everything around them to change constantly, and there were enchantments everywhere, making it impossible for the two wizards to fly.
Rock noticed that while the building was changing, the enchantment was also undergoing certain changes, which was undoubtedly another headache.
He also clearly saw that where there are walls, most of them have barriers, some of which are deeply hidden and dense enough to make one's scalp tingle.
After a while, the change stopped. Rock glanced at the tracking crystal ball, and the position of the other party changed. Fortunately, with their ability, they would not mistake the direction of leaving the city.
"This is---the arena?"
Looking at the surroundings again, the surroundings have become different from before. A wide avenue suddenly appeared on the side, and at the end was a place that looked like an arena.
"Being able to get a warrant," Deborah said.
"Then get the pass first, and other things can't be rushed anyway." Rock suggested.
"There are easier ways to get a warrant," Deborah said.
"For us, it's very easy. Since we're here, we have to try more." Without waiting for her to say anything else, Rock walked towards the arena first.
Deborah had no choice but to follow quickly. She didn't want to be separated from Rock, lest the enemy take advantage of it and die carelessly like her companions.
In the arena, the layout is no different from that of ordinary arenas. The center below is the place for fighting, and the surroundings are viewing platforms, but there will be no one there, which looks very desolate and weird.
"Is it enough to just enter the arena?" Rock asked.
"Exactly.
" Deborah replied sullenly.
"Take care of my pet." Rock nodded, shaking the Red Armored Beast, and the Red Armored Beast floated to Deborah's side and slowly landed on her shoulder.
"Don't go too far." Deborah was even more dissatisfied.
"This is an order, don't forget what you promised Vera, this operation is under my arrangement." Rock said lightly.
Deborah reluctantly agreed. She knew the inside story of this mission clearly. Even Vera couldn't help herself. Several people also participated in the previous incident. Once the mission failed, the consequences can be imagined.
"Da da da."
Seeing the Red Armored Ruin Beast landed on her shoulder, Rock directly got off the viewing platform from one side, came to the battle field from the side passage, and walked towards the center with moderate steps.
Before he could reach the center, he heard a 'creak' from the opposite side, the iron gate that resembled a beast pen opened, and a black figure came out from the darkness.
An undead creature, with only hard skin and bones left on its body, its limbs quickly slid across the ground and rushed towards the center of the arena.
From the undead creature, Rock can keenly perceive the strength level of the other party. It is undoubtedly a third-order creature, which makes him frown involuntarily.
It's not that he's invincible, but he guesses that the other party can perceive his own strength, and some information has been exposed, and he doesn't know if the enemy in the dark can detect it.
"Win first and then talk."
The opponent has already rushed towards him, and Rock has no time to think about more questions.
With a shield in one hand and a sword in the other, he hardly looked like a wizard.
"boom."
Before the undead beasts approached, they opened their mouths and spit out a strong magic bullet, the flames mixed with dark energy. Rock swung his sword and slashed out a ground blade, which contained the characteristics of pure power, and penetrated a small half of the arena.
Two by two bombarded each other, the roar of energy sounded, and the ground blade had the upper hand. After breaking through the magic bullet, it took advantage of the opportunity to slash towards the undead beasts.
Rock took advantage of the situation and swung two more swords. Two sharp blades slashed out, one cold and the other destructive, enveloping the undead beast one after another, making it impossible to avoid.
As soon as he fought, he knew that the undead beast in front of him was only made of third-order materials, something like a puppet, which seemed to be a third-order level, but it was not a real third-order undead creature, and its combat power was far inferior.
With his strength, he can win steadily.
The fact was just as he had expected, after only a few sword strikes, the undead beast was about to be slashed by his sword.
"Boom."
At the end of the battle, the undead beast gave Rock a small surprise. The energy in his body suddenly burst and exploded, and the energy went berserk to form a wave of attacks after leaving.
Rock's fighting skills are good. When troubles appeared, he retreated a certain distance in an instant, and the remaining violent energy rushed towards him. He didn't use the bone heart demon shield, and directly resisted with the wizard mask.
The two wizard hoods remained unmoved, tightly protecting him within them.
His idea is very simple, since the strength information is exposed, it is natural to expose it more thoroughly, lest the enemy mistakenly think that he is a third-order wizard.
'I am really well-intentioned. ’ Rock thought speechlessly.
After the violent energy dissipated, a token came through the air, and after checking it was correct, it fell into his hands. It was no different from the previous pass, and it felt like it could be crushed with a pinch.
"Wizard Rock, it's almost enough."
"It's rare to come here. You have to fight hard and see what rewards you can get. Just take care of yourself."
"We have tried it. There are no other rewards, only the pass, but you can only hold one pass, and it is useless if you have more."
"Stop talking nonsense, listen to me, if you are not satisfied, you can leave by yourself."
Rock ignored Deborah's opinion and chose to continue fighting, causing more dissatisfaction to accumulate in Deborah's eyes.
The opposite animal pen was automatically opened, and Rock ushered in the opponent for the second round.
